Deletion[edit]

A 'worldspace' is a technical term used in the singleplayer games (e.g. Skyrim:Worldspaces) and it does not exist in ESO. It seems to me that this page is really about the concept of "exteriors". That is too nebulous a list in my opinion, but either way it is not a list of worldspaces. I have proposed this page for deletion. —Legoless (talk) 13:40, 9 June 2024 (UTC)

Furthermore, this list doesn't even seem to be consistent in its logic. Why is Online:Firemoth Island listed as a worldspace when it is located in the same exterior as the Vvardenfell zone? —Legoless (talk) 13:41, 9 June 2024 (UTC)

It was the best name I could come up with for the gameplay classification of everything which has a loading screen but is not attached to an overworld location; i.e. locations which have no other existing classification to fit into. From a purely technical ESO perspective they are "Zones", but that term has common usage applications in ESO which need to be considered; therefore I went for an equivalent Elder Scrolls term which means the same thing as Zone but uses a different word. I'm happy for other naming options to be offered, but these locations really do need to be classified as something (and they're not all exteriors). The old ESOHead website (which we named Explorable Locations and Quest Hubs after) called them "Neutral Zones" (in contrast to "Leveling Zones"), but that term also means something else in ESO these days.
Firemoth specifically is equivalent to Nchu Duabthar Threshold; it exists "within" the borders of an overworld zone, but has no actual physical entrance in that zone, and therefore doesn't qualify as an "Unmarked Location". --Enodoc (talk) 14:56, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
What about "Exteriors" or something similar? I've changed the prod to a rename tag. —Legoless (talk) 15:50, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
Theoretically works but they're not actually all Exteriors, e.g. The Spiral Skein, The Mythos, Clockwork City Vault, and most of the "Unzoned" interiors (Abagarlas, Sancre Tor, al-Danobia Tomb, etc) would all come under this. --Enodoc (talk) 16:12, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
