Alas, this appears to be one of those occasions where old trash is mistaken for historic treasure. Skeletal crocodile tails such as this were popular in Leyawiin in the 3rd century of the Second Era. You could buy one from any street merchant. Look at the size of this thing. Surely no street vendor carried this. And, I believe this came from no crocodile in Black Marsh. The fine scale pattern near the tip? That is found in a crocodile breed from the island of Solstice. And I promise you Solstice Argonians were not selling them as souvenirs. Then this is the rare occasion where something historic is mistaken for old trash! I have found stories, perhaps just tall tales, but they say that these crocodiles were once so massive multiple Argonian riders rode into battle against Daedric invaders. Perhaps this is a remnant from that singular age.
