Adamant Dwarven Horse[edit]
- Though Dwemer constructs are made mostly of so-called Dwarven Metal, some rare animunculi have parts forged from a super-hard whitish alloy known to blacksmiths as Dwarven Adamant. It's one of the rarest materials on Nirn.
The Adamant Dwarven Horse is a Dwarven Automaton-themed mount, or "vamidium". It is available as a Radiant Apex-level in the Dwarven Crown Crates. Its default name is "Silverhoof".
Akaviri Potentate Charger[edit]

All-Maker's Horse[edit]
- The harmony of the All-Maker dwells within the chest of this steed. It breathes in the breath and breathes out the wind. In its wake does the earth move, the waters flow, and the sun shine.
The All-Maker's Horse is available as an Apex-level reward in the All-Maker Crates. Its default name is "Strikehoof".
Alliance War Horse[edit]
- It's no surprise the Three Alliances compete to breed the strongest and most majestic chargers for their armored cavalries. Appearance is linked to your character's alliance. Riding Skill does not affect this mount's appearance.
The Alliance War Horse was previously available from the Crown Store for 2,500 . It is now part of the Any Race, Any Alliance Bundle for 2000 . It features the livery of the Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant, or Ebonheart Pact depending on the allegiance of the player character. When placed in a home, the appearance depends on the allegiance of any player looking at it, so the same horse can simultaneously appear different to multiple players. This mount's appearance is not affected by your character's riding skill. Its default name is "Destrier".
Ancient Dragon Hunter Horse[edit]
- As the Dragon threat spreads, the need for veteran Dragon Hunters increases. These gold-barded horses can help you reach your prey quickly.
The Ancient Dragon Hunter Horsea was previously available in the Crown Store on its own for 3,000 or as part of the Scalebreaker Collector's Bundle for 4,000 . It returned in 2021, where it was offered to ESO Plus Members at a discounted 2,400 . From June 13 to August of 2023, it was offered as a perk for Amazon Prime Gaming and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate players. Its default name is "Blazeheart".
Arena Gladiator Horse[edit]
- Ready to rule the arena? With the Arena Gladiator Horse as your steed, you'll do so in flashy style. Each one has received special training from former gladiatorial champions that makes it a practical and dashing choice.
The Arena Gladiator Horse is available in the Crown Store for 2500 during Midyear Mayhem, between June 25 and July 7, 2020. Its default name is "Rumblehoof".
Ashen Fang Lair Courser[edit]
- Sometimes, when necromancers reanimate a creature, they overdo it and imbue the undead entity with an excess of dark conjuration. In the case of the Ashen Courser, this residue of mystical power manifests as a cloud of grave dust and ash.
The Ashen Fang Lair Courser was available in the Crown Store for 3,500 from April 26 to 30, 2018. It returned from April 27 to May 4, 2023, and was offered to ESO Plus Members at a discounted 2,800 . Its default name is "Death Hoof".
Auroran Twilight Warhorse[edit]
- Like their mistress, the Daedric Prince Meridia, Aurorans have magical control over color and hue, so when they need a mount in Tamriel after dark it's no surprise that they conjure Warhorses that are as dark as night itself.
The Auroran Twilight Warhorse was sold in the Crown Store for 2,500 from May 2, 2019 to May 9, 2019. It is now available as a Legendary-level reward in Gloomspore Crates. Its default name is "Shadowshade".
Auroran Warhorse[edit]
- When one of Meridia's Auroran Knights manifests in Tamriel, and needs a mount, the knight has the ability to instantly summon a Daedric Warhorse from the Colored Rooms. Curiously, if the knight is banished to Oblivion, the mount sometimes stays behind.
The Auroran Warhorse is available in the Crown Store for 3,000 . It is wearing Auroran armor. Its default name is "Borealis".
Auroran Zenith Warhorse[edit]
- It's said that when Meridia's Aurorans need mounts in Tamriel they conjure these shining Warhorses out of pure light. Perhaps so, but they're certainly solid enough to support a heavily armed warrior at the charge!
The Auroran Zenith Warhorse was available in the Crown Store exclusively to ESO Plus members for 2,500 from January 31 to February 4, 2019. It was made available to all players for 3,000 from March 7 to March 11, 2019. It is now available as a Legendary-level reward in Gloomspore Crates. Its default name is "Nimbus".
Azure Blight Wild Hunt Steed[edit]
- Though the Dragon Maarselok's blue-limned scourge illuminates this conjured steed, never fear! The magic that summoned it contains the blight, keeping the Green safe—but given its penchant for biting, tip the stablemaster extra for its keep.
The Azure Blight Wild Hunt Steed is an equine mount in the appearance of an azureblighted Wildbriar Horse. It is available in the Crown Store as a Crown Gem exclusive for 700 / 9,600 from June 9, 2022 to June 1, 2023. Its default name is "Scourgekeeper".
Baandari Pedlar Steed[edit]
- The well-traveled Baandari Pedlars lend their style to this horse's tack, creating a look any lover of rich hues would die for. Today it can be yours—with no need to die!

Black Fredas Pillion Walker[edit]
- Double trouble approaches when this pitch-black steed rides into town. With more than enough ill-tidings to go around, this Black Fredas steed is living proof that misery loves company.
The Black Fredas Pillion Walker is a multi-rider equine mount. It was first available in the 2024 Black Fredas Special! for 1,900 .
Black Fredas Soot Stallion[edit]
- Calamity and mischance seem to follow in the hoofprints of this dark charger—but not for its rider! Gallop into battle on the back of this Soot Stallion and curse your opponents with all the ill luck of Black Fredas!

Bloodshadow Wraith Steed[edit]
- An Exemplar mount is a mystical manifestation of its form's ideal concept. It is also extraordinarily sensitive to the emotional valences of its rider. If the rider engages in too much bloodthirsty killing, their Exemplar may become a Bloodshadow Wraith.
The Bloodshadow Wraith Steed is included in the Summerset Collector's Pack, which can be purchased in the Crown Store for 2,100 . It was previously only available by purchasing the Summerset Collector's Edition from the ESO website. Its default name is "Deep Red".
Bonds of Battle Destrier[edit]
- These black-and-gold barded destriers carry their riders with distinction as they sweep across Cyrodiil, serving as but one symbol of goals and experiences their dauntless combatants share. Riding Skill does not affect this mount's appearance.
The Bonds of Battle Destrier was created for and distributed to members of the PC-EU guild Dauntless Bananas, who won the Tamriel Together guild contest. Its default name is "Banana". Riding Skill does not affect this mount's appearance.
Bonfire Wicker-Steed[edit]
- Woe to any who ride this fiery steed without its consent! Sanctified by ashes from the funeral pyres of venerated witches, this wicker steed blazes a path across Tamriel and beyond, reminding any mortals who see it of their own short lifespans.
The Bonfire Wicker-Steed was available in the Crown Store for 600 from November 4 to November 18, 2021. It returned from October 2 to November 6, 2023, where the price was universally reduced to 400 . Its default name is "Kindling".
Brown Paint Horse[edit]
- Favored by farmers and traders, this muscular horse is strong and patient.
The Brown Paint Horse is a brown and white horse mount that can be purchased from stablemasters for 42,700 . Its default name is "Chomps".
Chaurus Egg Chaser's Horse[edit]
- Trained with special care, a chaurus egg hunter's horse requires an even temper, a smooth gait, and the ability to navigate through dark passages with equanimity. This steadfast mount will break few—if any—of your prized eggs!
The Chaurus Egg Chaser's Horse was available with the Markarth Collector's Bundle from November 2, 2020 to March 8, 2021 on PC, and from November 9, 2020 to March 16, 2021 on consoles. It was also available on its own in the Crown Store for 3,000 . Its default name is "Egghunter's Dream".
Coalsmoke Forge Horse[edit]
- Originally bred by a family of Breton blacksmiths, the Coalsmoke Forge Horse's strength allows them to work for long hours. Just make sure you provide them with a salt lick—they love them.

Cursebound Horse[edit]
- Glorious and deadly. Majestic and haunting. This well-armored steed serves its master faithfully, though its nightmarish appearance once inspired rumors of a ghoulish nature in the area around Cragwallow.

Cursebound Lichsteed[edit]
- An iniquitous blend of magic created this unhallowed mount. From its baleful glow to the corrupt lanterns that drift about it, this steed serves liches, necromancers, and other wicked beings with undying loyalty.

Daggerfall Dapple Horse[edit]
- The Daggerfall Dapple is a hardy horse breed that comes from the Farwatch region of Glenumbra between Daggerfall and Camlorn. Known for its endurance, it's a favorite of long-distance riders.
The Daggerfall Dapple Horse is available as a Legendary-level reward in Akaviri Potentate Crates. Its default name is "Mudpie".
Dapple Gray Palfrey[edit]
The Dapple Gray Palfrey is a dark gray horse mount previously available from the Crown Store for 900 from March 17 to May 26, 2015. Its default name is "Stormcloud".
Dark Brotherhood Crew Steed[edit]
- The steeds of the Dark Brotherhood are conditioned to run blindly ahead in the darkness, fully trusting their riders. When the situation demands it, the horses will even run with multiple riders clinging to them on all sides, never flinching or faltering.

Dark Opaline Steed[edit]

Dwarven Horse[edit]
- The ancient Deep Elves made animunculi of many kinds, imitating nature with mechanical constructs. The Dwarven word for mount was "vamidium," but their equine automata are more commonly known as Dwarven Horses.
The Dwarven Horse is a Dwarven Automaton-themed mount, or "vamidium". It is available as an Apex-level reward from the Dwarven Crown Crates. Its default name is "Duabthar".
Dwarven War Horse[edit]
- This loyal horse has been trained for warfare, and will stick with you through every kind of conflict. As a bonus, it comes outfitted in ancient Dwarven horse armor. Riding Skill does not affect this mount's appearance.
The Dwarven War Horse is exclusively available as a bonus in the Collector's Edition of The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind. Riding skill does not affect this mount's appearance. Its default name is "Mzangth".
Ebon Dwarven Horse[edit]
- Though most ancient Dwemer automata are constructed primarily of the so-called Dwarven Metal, some rare and special animunculus mounts use a preponderance of Ebony. Creations like the Ebon Dwarven Horse are especially durable.

Egg Hunter's Horse[edit]
- The many multicolored eggs of Tamriel are valuable for their differing alchemical properties, and this makes the Egg Hunter's job a profitable one, especially in the spring.
The Egg Hunter's Horse was available in the Crown Store for ? from April 18 through 25, 2019. It was offered in the Crown Store again from April 1 to April 5, 2021 for 850 . Players riding the Egg Hunter's Horse carry a festive egg basket while mounted. The Mara's Spring Chicken pet, which came as a daily reward during the month of April, pairs nicely with this mount. Its default name is "Dobbin".
Elder Dragon Hunter Horse[edit]
- With Dragons on the loose in Elsweyr, a modern cadre of Dragon Hunters have sprung up to hunt them down. Their mounts are sturdy and fearless.
The Elder Dragon Hunter Horse was available in the Crown Store for 2,000 from June 27, 2019 to March 19, 2020. Its default name is "Ardent".
Embermould Warhorse[edit]

Fang Lair Courser[edit]
- In Fang Lair, not even ancient warriors' steeds are safe from reanimation by necromancers! Though to be fair, if you're looking for "grimly impressive," this is the mount for you.
The Fang Lair Courser is a reanimated skeletal horse mount. It is available from the Crown Store individually for 3,000 , or as part of the Dragon Bones Collector's Bundle for 4,000 . It entered the Crown Store on February 12, 2018 for PC, and February 27, 2018 for consoles. It left the store on May 21, 2018. Its default name is "Deadmane".
Flame Atronach Horse[edit]
- It was the master summoners of the Direnni who first discovered that a conjurer could impose any desired shape on a Flame Atronach—even that of a horse. Direnni mages mounted on flaming horses first appeared at the Battle of Glenumbria Moors.
This Flame Atronach-themed horse is available as an Apex-level reward in Flame Atronach Crates. Its mane, tail, and feathers are not hair, but literally fire. Its default name is "Firemane".
Forge Master's Charger[edit]
- Though some claim these fiery steeds first sprang from the Earth Forge, others make a case for the fires of Morkuldin's Descent taking that honor. None can quench the blaze of this incandescent horse!
The Forge Master's Charger is a red flaming horse branded with glowing orange marks. It is available as a Radiant Apex-level reward in the Wraithtide Crate, and can be bought for 2,500 / 16,000 . Its default name is "Flamestepper".
Frost Atronach Horse[edit]
- All the strength of a standard frost atronach, with all the nobility and grace of the equine form! Create a spectacle by riding into your favorite town on this mighty steed.

Frost Draugr Charger[edit]
- Now seen well outside Skyrim, these skeletal horses once served among Ysgramor's soldiers and were honored after their deaths—or so says one of the epic ballads found in Solitude's Bards College. Dare you ride a steed of such provenance? Of course!
The Frost Draugr Charger was available in the Crown Store for 600 from March 12 to March 24, 2022. Its default name is "Giantkiller".
Frost Mare[edit]
- With its icy gaze and steaming breath, the frigid Frost Mare seems carved from the very glaciers of Skyrim.
The Frost Mare was previously available from the Crown Store for 3,000 from (?) to (?), 2015. The mount reappeared in the Crown Store throughout the 20 day duration of 2020's New Life Festival, and was offered to ESO Plus members at a discount for 2400 . It is also available in the Storm Atronach Crown Crates as a Legendary-level reward. Its default name is "Snowhoof", although it originally had no default name.
Frostbane Horse[edit]
- The ancient Nords who came to Skyrim with Ysgramor worshiped animal totems, and adorned their mounts with symbolic hair-knots and hide strips meant to protect their livestock from the frigid climate. These "Frostbane" talismans are still in use today!

Galvanic Storm Steed[edit]
- The Galvanic Storm Steed fuses the power of a Storm Atronach from Oblivion with the bloodline of the Yokudan Chargers, the famous war horses of the Redguards, to create an incomparable mount.

Grand Nibenese Stallion[edit]
- Though some claim these horses are bred purely for show, the Grand Nibenese Stallion serves as more than just a good luck charm in Leyawiin. They possess a keen intelligence and even temperament—maintaining their composure, even on crowded streets.
The Grand Nibenese Stallion was available in the Crown Store for 3500 from February 3 to 10, 2022. It was offered at a discounted 2800 to ESO Plus Members when it returned in 2023. Its default name is "Jewel".

Gray Yokudan Charger[edit]
The Gray Yokudan Charger is a grey horse mount previously available from the Crown Store for 900 from (?) to May 21, 2015. Its default name is "Shadow".
Grinning Terror Steed[edit]

Grisly Horse Mummy[edit]

Guild's Pride Charger[edit]

The Guild's Pride Charger was created for and distributed to members of the guild Goldleaf Acquisitions, who won the Tamriel Together guild contest. Its default name is "Goldleaf". Riding Skill does not affect this mount's appearance.
Harrowstorm Destrier[edit]
- The first destrier born from a Harrowstorm spurned its original rider and galloped away before any present could capture it. This pattern continued for a time, leading many to wonder where they went. Some say they must find new riders—for good or ill.

Hermitage Servitor[edit]

Hew's Bane Pillion Palfrey[edit]
- Smuggler crews in Hew's Bane first trained these palfreys to bear two riders. Originally, the training was just a cover story to hide their illicit work. But they quickly found having a mount that could hold two extremely useful for heists.
The Hew's Bane Pillion Palfrey is a multi-rider mount. It will be available in the Crown Store for 5,000 from September 28 to October 5, 2023. Its default name is "Heist".
Holdbreaker Warhorse[edit]
- Enterprising siegemasters need to move quickly when working to overthrow a fortification. Whether you plan to conquer Castle Alessia, take over Fort Warden, or overwhelm Chalman Keep, the Holdbreaker Horse is a valuable addition to your stable!

Hollowjack Rider Horse[edit]
- Every Witches Festival, the haunted legend of a hidden Rivenspire hollow once more comes to life—if you can call it that—and horse riders across Tamriel are cursed to gallop headless through the night on dark and frantic seeds.
The Hollowjack Rider Horse is available as an Apex-level reward in Hollowjack Crown Crates. Its default name is "Pumpkin Palfrey".
Hollowjack Wraith-Lantern Steed[edit]
- Conventional wisdom holds that these bizarre and eerie Skull mounts are just horses imbued with a haunting illusory appearance—but some whisper that they aren't from Tamriel at all, but summoned from the Hollowjack half-world or demi-plane.

The Imperial Horse is a white horse mount made available to owners of the Imperial Edition. Its default name is "Diamond".
Imperial War Horse[edit]
- When the Empire of Cyrodiil was at its height, the Imperial Legion Cavalry rode these chalk-white chargers into battle beneath the red diamond banner.
The Imperial War Horse is a white armored horse mount previously available from the Mysterious Reward Box distributed during the Ten Million Stories event. It later became available for 2,500 from September 3 through 6, 2018. Its default name is "Diamond Red".
Iron Atronach Horse[edit]
- The magic-wielding knights of Zenithar's Crucible prize these molten steeds above all else—even their arms and armor! To this day, no force has weathered the charge of an Iron destrier.

The Legion Zero Charger is a translucent purple horse with Legion Zero-themed armor. It was available for 600 from September 3 to September 10, 2020, during the Imperial City Celebration Event. When summoned, it created a purple beam of light and leaves a purple Daedric summoning circle imprinted on the ground; this circle has the Daedric letter 'O' in its center, and quickly fades away. The Wasseek Horse-Lizard is a Crown Gem exclusive that was available in the Crown Store on all platforms for a limited time during the Murkmire Celebration in February of 2020. It costs 400 . It looks like a Horse-Lizard created by the Bright-Throat Hist. Its default name is "Eats-All-Bugs".
Welkynd-Born Courser[edit]

The White-Gold Imperial Courser is a horse that was available in the Crown Store for 3,500 from February 8 to 12, 2018. It returned in 2019, where it was available from February 14 to February 18. It returned once more from October 7 to October 14, 2021, and was available at a discounted 2,800 to ESO Plus Members. Its default name is "Majesty".
White Mane Horse[edit]
- A rare, highly-sought cross between a midnight steed and a Skyrim ice-horse.
The White Mane Horse is a black and white horse mount available from the Crown Store on its own for 900 . It is also available as part of the Starter Pack, Adept for 1,000 . Its default name is "Snowmane".
White Spotted Courser[edit]
- Bred for speed and battle, the White Spotted Courser holds a special place in the hearts of war historians due to their prominence as cavalry mounts in the Battle of Dragon Wall.
The White Spotted Courser was available in the Crown Store for 1,200 from August 22 through August 26, 2019. It is now available in Nightfall Crates as a Legendary-level reward. Its default name is "Sprinkles".
Whiterun Mountain Charger[edit]

Whiterun Windsteed[edit]

The Whiterun Windsteed is available in the Steadfast Stablemaster Bundle for 1,800 . Its default name is "Airdancer".
Wild Hunt Horse[edit]

The Wild Hunt Horse is a green Wild Hunt-themed horse mount made out of roots and held together by nature magic. It is available as an Apex-level reward from Wild Hunt Crown Crates. Its default name is "Greenmare".
Winterbloom Warmblood[edit]

Winter Garland Dapple Gray[edit]

The Winter Garland Dapple Gray was available from the Crown Store from December 7, 2017 through January 2, 2018 (roughly coinciding with the New Life Festival of 2017) for 2,500 . When the horse moves, the bells adorning it jingle. Its default name is "Dapper".
Witch Knight Charger[edit]
- During their invasion of High Rock, the Reachmen were profoundly impressed by the power and splendor of the Breton mounted knights, and decided to breed their own hardy northern steeds to the same size. They succeeded!
The Witch Knight Charger is an armored brown horse that was available in the Crown Store for 2,500 from November 2 to November 6, 2017. It is also available as a Legendary-level reward in Frost Atronach Crates. Its default name is "Knightmare".
Wraithtide Horse[edit]

Zombie Horse[edit]
- Mannimarco's Order of the Black Worm must be responsible for the re-animated Zombie Horse, as it was first seen in Cyrodiil as a Worm Anchorite's mount.
The Zombie Horse was featured in one of ESO's cinematic trailers, where it was being ridden by the undead Breton Hero. It has been available from the Crown Store three times, once for 2,500 , and other times for 1,200 . It is also available as a Legendary-level reward in Hollowjack Crown Crates. Its default name is "Witherwhinny".
