Nenyond Twyll is a medium-sized Ayleid ruin south of the Imperial City containing necromancers (quest-related). It contains two zones: Nenyond Twyll and Nenyond Twyll Riellesel.
Related Quests[edit]
- Liberation or Apprehension?: Locate a Necromancer informant and return him safely to the Arcane University.
Notes[edit]
- You cannot enter this dungeon until you start the related quest. Before that, the main entrance will be locked ("requires a key", although there is no key); the door is automatically unlocked at stage 10 of the quest (i.e., when Raminus Polus tells you to talk to Hannibal Traven about an assignment).
- Nenyond Twyll appears in ESO as Juras Falls.
Exterior[edit]
- The exterior is located at coordinates: Tamriel 2, 0
- This location's map marker (M on map) is named Nenyond Twyll (editor name NenyondTwyllMapMarker). The entrance door is NW of the marker, 40 feet away.
- 2 Wilderness Creatures (Forest variety) are near the entrance
- The following plants can be found near the entrance: 2 Columbine plants, 5 Monkshood plants, and 2 Domica Redwort plants
Zone 1: Nenyond Twyll[edit]
There are two doors that lead to the second zone, Nenyond Twyll Riellesel. You will use door D to access the second zone. Door C is for returning from the second zone. The hidden doors (E and F) that prevent initial access to door C can only be opened using the pressure plate (cyan dot) on the east side of the hidden doors.
The first room contains a Ceiling Spikes trap at T. The only purpose of this trap is to kill your companion, Fithragaer; the trap will not do any damage to you or other creatures. It is possible to keep Fithragaer alive, as detailed in the quest notes, although doing so prevents the quest from updating properly.
Three bedrolls can be found in this zone: one in the room with the Ceiling Spikes trap and two in the room accessed from door C.
Occupants:
- Fithragaer (non-respawning)
- 4 Necromancers
- 2 Undead
Treasure:
- 2 Ayleid Casks 01 (1 locked)
- 1 Ayleid Cask 02 (locked)
- 1 Chest 01
- 1 Chest 04
- 2 Restoration Ayleid Chests
Traps:
- 1 Ceiling Spikes trap (this particular trap will kill Fithragaer but subsequently does no damage to anyone) at location T on map
Doors and Gates:
- There are three doors in/out of this zone
- 1 door (at Out) leads outside
- 2 doors (at C and D) both leading to the zone Nenyond Twyll Riellesel
- 2 Hidden Doors at E and F, opened by stepping on the pressure plate (cyan dot) on the east side of E.
Other:
- 3 bedrolls at locations b on map
Zone 2: Nenyond Twyll Riellesel[edit]
You will enter this zone through door D and exit through door C. To complete the related quest, you will need to find, but not necessarily kill, Mucianus Allias, who is found in the northernmost room at Q. The hidden doors (E and F) that block access to Allias' room are opened using pressing the push block (cyan dot on map) on the wall just west of the doors, which is defended by the boss-level Necromancer (A).
This zone primarily consists of a large room mostly filled by a pool of water. On the walkway across the pool are two Varla Stones (V) in cages. The activation switches to open the Varla Stone cages are both in the water (the two cyan dots) on either side of the Varla Stone platform. Note, however, that there are four Dark Welkynd Stone traps (T) on pedestals standing in the water. The boss-level Ayleid Reliquary is found at B.
Occupants:
- 1 boss-level Necromancer at location A on map
- Mariette Rielle (non-respawning)
- Mucianus Allias (non-respawning) at Q. Must be found to advance the quest.
- 2 Necromancers
- 3 Undead
Treasure:
- 1 boss-level Ayleid Reliquary (Necromancer variety; locked) at location B on map
- 2 Varla Stones (both in Varla Stone Cages) at V. Each cage is opened using one of the two activation "Push Blocks" (cyan dots) in the water by the side of the platform.
- 2 Ayleid Casks 01 (1 locked)
- 1 Chest 04
- 1 Restoration Ayleid Chest
Traps:
- 4 Dark Welkynd Stone traps at locations T on map
Doors and Gates:
- There are two doors (at C and D) in/out of this zone, both leading to the zone Nenyond Twyll
- 2 Hidden Doors at E and F. Both doors are opened using the activation "Push Block" (cyan dot) just west of the door (next to A).
