Related Quests[edit]

Notes[edit]

  • You cannot enter this dungeon until you start the related quest. Before that, the main entrance will be locked ("requires a key", although there is no key); the door is automatically unlocked at stage 10 of the quest (i.e., when Raminus Polus tells you to talk to Hannibal Traven about an assignment).
  • Nenyond Twyll appears in ESO as Juras Falls.

Exterior[edit]

Key to Maps
Map of Nenyond Twyll Exterior
  • The exterior is located at coordinates: Tamriel 2, 0
  • This location's map marker (M on map) is named Nenyond Twyll (editor name NenyondTwyllMapMarker). The entrance door is NW of the marker, 40 feet away.
  • 2 Wilderness Creatures (Forest variety) are near the entrance
  • The following plants can be found near the entrance: 2 Columbine plants, 5 Monkshood plants, and 2 Domica Redwort plants

Zone 1: Nenyond Twyll[edit]

Nenyond Twyll

After entering from the door at Out you will immediately be confronted by Fithragaer (Q), a Mages Guild battlemage, who will explain the dire situation in the ruins. After this he will rush off and very likely be killed by the Ceiling Spikes trap (T) in the first room, although it is possible to keep him alive. The first room also contains a small necromancer living area, with a banner, a minor loot chest and a bedroll (b) all guarded by an enemy. From here it's a straightforward path to door D to the next zone, past four enemies: one in the next corridor, two in a large room and another just in front of the door. The latter is also guarding three minor loot chests.

When returning from the second zone via door C, you will enter a room with a necromancer guarding three minor loot chests (including one Ayleid cask hidden in an alcove behind a necromancer banner) and two bedrolls (b). Step on the pressure plate (cyan dot on map) to the west to open the hidden doors at E and F, which give quick access back to the door leading outside.

Occupants:

Treasure:

Traps:

  • 1 Ceiling Spikes trap (this particular trap will kill Fithragaer but subsequently does no damage to anyone) at location T on map

Doors and Gates:

  • There are three doors in/out of this zone
  • 2 Hidden Doors at E and F, opened by stepping on the pressure plate (cyan dot) on the east side of E.

Other:

  • 3 bedrolls at locations b on map

Zone 2: Nenyond Twyll Riellesel[edit]

Nenyond Twyll Riellesel

You will enter this zone through door D and will immediately be confronted by the necromancer Mariette Rielle (M). The stairs beyond her lead to a large room mostly filled by a pool of water and a central walkway. There are five enemies in total and four Dark Welkynd Stone traps (T) on pedestals standing in the water, so try to avoid fighting all at once. In the southeastern corner you will find a minor loot chest, while in the central section are two Varla Stones (V) in cages. The press blocks to open the Varla Stone cages are both underwater (two cyan dots on map), on either side of the platform.

At the far side of the walkway you will find the boss-level Necromancer (A), who guards the boss chest (B), two minor loot chests and the push block (cyan dot on map) which opens the hidden doors at E and F. Beyond these is a small room where you will find the object of the related quest, Mucianus Allias (Q), and a minor loot chest.
