Welcome![edit]
Hello Jnutter819! Welcome to UESPWiki! It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:
- Policies and Guidelines: UESPWiki standards and expectations
- Help Contents: a list of in-depth Help pages
- Quick Editing Guide: a quick guide to wiki markup
- Getting Started: how you can help
- Help:Images: standards for images on the UESPWiki
If you would like to spice up your userpage, click here for a list of userboxes you can use, including a guide to making your own.
When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).
Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun! -- SarthesArai Talk 20:44, 14 January 2014 (GMT)
- Thank you, I guess. I just noticed that even though this is a standard greeting, someone has to manually add it to the new user's talk page, and this was helpful. P.S. Do you think any other users will be interested in the custom userboxes I created (particularly the Steam one) to the point that I should make them templates?Jnutter819hi 06:50, 24 January 2014 (GMT)

Advice[edit]
Hello and welcome to UESPWiki! Thanks for your interest in the wiki; however, you seem to have been making multiple edits to a page by not using the show preview button, clogging up the Recent Changes in the process. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but keep in mind that each edit needs to be patrolled, so multiple consecutive edits create an unnecessary hassle on those who patrol. So please utilize this feature! You may also want to look over our style guide and Getting Started guide. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. Rook (talk) 01:08, 15 January 2014 (GMT)
- Sorry about that. I was using the preview, but there was an editing conflict by which I accidentally lost some of my work, and it just hadn't occurred to me that I could save partial progress on an edit on my own computer.Jnutter819hi 06:47, 24 January 2014 (GMT)
- It's all good, I know how frustrating it can be to work on a long post and have someone else conflict the edit. When that happens, I usually just go back a page in my browser and copy/paste my old comment to the page after reloading it. Of course, that only works if you're on a talk page... :-/ ThuumofReason (talk) 12:25, 24 January 2014 (GMT)
