Vandalism and You Know Who

I'm sure you're trying to help but your comments on Nephele's talk page do something close to the opposite. The editor in question is definitely a problem and I've personally spent far too much time cleaning up his edits, warning him and indeed blocking him. As I'm sure you've noticed, I've been doing the cleanups on the Oblivion Mod Wiki too recently, and was reduced to making threats over the last round of vandalism.

It's not like we've been doing nothing. In his various guises, he has been blocked several times. The problem is that he has discovered how to use anonymous proxies to access the Internet, which means that he can just switch to an unblocked IP address any time we try to stop him.

It's possible you don't realise just how frustrating this is for us admins. To see the site we help run be attacked by mindless idiots is bad enough; to watch impotently as it happens again and again has caused me to swear loudly at my screen on more than one occasion. Let's just say that we are fully aware of the problem and are watching and waiting for anything that will lead to a block. The trouble is that we have to work within our policies and vandals, obviously, don't.

Allright. As I wrote already, I'm going to drop this until I see anything bad done. You know, I'm usually not very active in such arguments at all, but he made me angry, enough to write this... (to my amusement, it's not erased yet).

As to ideas... well, a psychologist would help - a good psychologist can find just right words to stop a vandalizer/flooder/spammer, and a group can make such a person really unhappy with those activities. Unfortunately, I don't know any. Besides I'm not from an English-speaking country at all.
