Cheydinhal Orum's Gang[edit]

Orum's Gang

Cheydinhal Orum's Gang is a faction of Orcs in Cheydinhal who operate an underground illegal Skooma smuggling ring. The smuggling operation is a set of events that happen outside of the player's knowledge and involvement. Some of the member will outright refuse to talk to you, and all have very little or nothing to say about the gang or their operations. The player cannot become involved with the gang or the Skooma smuggling, but you can watch the events unfold.

Members[edit]

See the individual pages for more information on each member.

Dulfish gro-Orum is the leader of Orum's gang.

Magub gro-Orum lives with Dulfish in their Cheydinhal house.

Oghash gra-Magul is the gang's drug runner.

Bazur gro-Gharz is a hanger on who gets protection from Orum's gang.

Borba gra-Uzgash operates a legal establishment in Cheydinhal.

Camonna Tong Thug are two couriers based at Walker Camp who help run drugs.

Schedule[edit]

Like most NPCs in Cryodiil the gang members operate on a weekly schedule. You can observe each member and track their movements to uncover their operations.

Lunch[edit]

Every day at noon the Orum's Gang has lunch at Newlands Lodge for two hours. Borba gra-Uzgash is the only member to not attend this event since she has to keep the shop open during the day. Oghash gra-Magul may not make this on days that she is traveling for the gang.

Dinner[edit]

Every day at 8pm the Orum's Gang has dinner at Newlands Lodge for two hours. This is the only time that all five members are in the same place at the same time.

Loitering[edit]

Every day at midnight Bazur gro-Gharz will walk from his house and stand out front of Orum's house until 2am. Then Oghash gra-Magul will walk from her house and stand in front of Orum's house until 4am.

The Drug Pickup[edit]

At 6am on Tuesday Oghash gra-Magul will wake up in her house and immediately set off for the Imperial City. Her destination is a locked barrel outside of Myvryna Arano's house in the Waterfront District. Once she makes it to the barrel she will remove ten Skooma bottles from the barrel, and leave all the money in her inventory. The most she will ever leave is 250 gold, but will usually only have 100 gold on her. She will then return to Cheydinhal.

The Drug Exchange[edit]

At 6am on Friday Oghash gra-Magul will wake up in her house and immediately set off for Walker Camp. Her destination is two Dark Elves who are members of the Comonna Tong and act as couriers for Orum's gang. Oghash will arrive at the camp, hand the drugs to the blunt weapon thug, and then immediately return to Cheydinhal. During the exchange all ten Skooma bottles are transfered to the blunt weapon thug, and all of his money is transfered to Oghash.

The Drug Dropoff[edit]

After the exchange is made the Comonna Tong Thugs will finish up any conversation they were having and then set off for Kingscrest Cavern. Their destination is a hollowed out rock just north of the entrance to Kingscrest. They will place all of the Skooma in the rock and then walk back to camp.

The Cash Delivery[edit]

After making the exchange at Walker Camp Oghash gra-Magul will walk back to Cheydinhal and wait at Orum's house for Dulfish gro-Orum. Unfortunately Oghash gets to Orum's house while he is not there. Since he doesn't show up while she is there she will usually end up delivering the cash after dinner at Newlands Lodge. Dulfish has all but 300 gold removed from his inventory, and then all but 100 gold is transfered from Oghash to Dulfish.

Riverview Party[edit]

Dulfish gro-Orum will attend the Riverview Party every Saturday at 6pm until midnight.

Notes[edit]

  • Because some AI packages do not get run unless they are visible to the player, portions of the drug pickup will run or not run depending on where the player is and at what times. You can see evidence that the packages are running while you are not around; Oghash's horse getting stuck at Waterfront, and Oghash having only 100 gold. If you visit the Waterfront on a Wednesday you may find Oghash's horse, but will not find any money in the pickup barrel. If you visit Oghash in Cheydinhal on a Wednesday or Thursday you might not find any Skooma on her even though she should have some.
  • There are no AI packages that involve anyone putting the Skooma in the drug pickup barrel, or removing it from the drug drop rock.
  • Oghash will only make the trip to Walker Camp if she has Skooma in her inventory, and the Comonna Tong Thugs will only drop Skooma into the rock on Fridays if they have Skooma on them. These events will never happen if Oghash's AI package to pickup the Skooma on Tuesday doesn't run correctly.
  • Bazur gro-Gharz and Oghash gra-Magul live right next to each other. During the loitering schedule it takes them about an hour (game time) to get from their house to Orum's so they will generally only be there for an hour before heading home.
  • Oghash gra-Magul has very little health, confidence, and is not a great fighter. She should probably be traveling with Bazur for the extra help fighting all the bandits and creatures that she encounters on her long trips. If you plan on walking with her during her travel packages you will need to help her out several times in fights. She will run away when her health is low making the trip even longer if you do not kill enemies quickly. For those on the PC you can always use the console to make her temporarily stronger. Her stats will be reset to their normal values the next time you reload.
  • If you follow Oghash to the Waterfront you should arrive at the barrel around 2am on Wednesday. If you immediately fast travel to Cheydinhal after the pickup is made you will find Oghash sleeping in her bed with all the Skooma on her.
  • If you're at the Waterfront on a Tuesday you can wait or sleep until 1pm. This is when Oghash will automatically zone into the Waterfront cell and begin the drug pickup.
  • The drug pickup barrel at the Waterfront is a respawnable container. If you do not take the money out of the barrel within three days it will be gone. Even though the barrel is locked, and Oghash does not have a key. The interactions with the barrel are part of her script and bypass actually opening the container. The barrel does not actually contain any Skooma, and the Skooma is added to the container when Oghash's script runs the package to pick up the drugs.
  • The drug drop hollow rock near Kingscrest will automatically empty the next time the container is loaded. You can witness this by traveling far enough away (Chorrol works) to unload the container from your game, and then traveling back to Kingscrest and checking the rock.

Bugs[edit]

  • Oghash is supposed to use a horse during her travel packages. The game actually begins on a Monday, so you can travel to Cheydinhal directly from the Imperial Sewers and watch her use her horse on Tuesday morning. This is pretty much the only time in the game where she will use a horse to travel outside of the Waterfront District. During all of your fast travels, waiting and sleeping her horse will eventually get stuck at the Waterfront. If you see a paint horse next to the drug drop barrel, or at the gate to the Imperial City, then you know that this is Oghash's horse and that she will no longer be using it outside of the Waterfront. This actually turns out to be a good thing because she is unbearably slow on her horse.
  • Oghash's cash delivery package is poorly timed. She is programed to go to Orum's house after making the drug drop at Walker Camp. However her package to deliver the cash does not start until 10pm. She will stay at Orum's house until the 8pm dinner a Newlands. The dinner ends at 10pm, which is also when her cash delivery package kicks off. So she will end up delivering the drug money to Dulfish either inside Newlands or outside on the street in front of the town guards. For some reason Oghash will also get stuck in this package, and will re-visit it until she begins her next travel package on Tuesday. This will cause her to find Dulfish at random times, like when he is at the Riverview party on Saturday night.
  • There is a bug with the Comonna Tong Thug where even though the total value of his gold gets transfered to Oghash he will sometimes still have gold after the transfer. The blunt weapon thug has three instances of leveled gold in his inventory, and will sometimes get bugged if the player is first visiting the camp at later levels. It seems that his leveled list gets multiplied by his level which is a -1 offset from the player. So the higher level the player the more outstanding his gold count will be. At level 15 this can be around 2K in gold, around 3K at level 20, and over 7K at level 25. This bug also seems to cause a problem removing gold from his inventory by scripts, but it could be unrelated. During the exchange his gold is properly counted, and then that gold is added to Oghash's inventory. The gold is then removed from his inventory. However after the entire amount of his gold is removed from his inventory he will still have gold on him. In my testing he had 2029 gold before the transfer, then Oghash had 2029 gold and he had 1779 gold (a difference of 250 gold). The script correctly counts and removes his gold, so I am not sure where this bug comes from. Incidentally 250 gold is exactly the amount that Oghash will transfer to the drug pickup barrel if she has more than that amount, but that amount is not programed into the drug exchange.
