Shivering:Reference Bug

This page is very interesting. It has all the information that it needs and is very descriptive and detailed. It is very interesting reading this page, learning more about this serious bug and the game's mechanics and inner design. --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 21:12, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

  • Support: As nominator.
  • Comment: Rigas, why are you nominating two articles at once? Isn't the point of nominating an aticle to say it's the one and only best page you can find? --Arch-Mage Matt Did I Do That? 21:38, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
  • Comment: Reply to Arch-Mage Matt: I don't think about it this way, I nominate for FA any article that I believe it deserves to be one, no matter if another nomination by me is also in progress. --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 21:44, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
  • Comment: There's nothing wrong with nominating more than one article - you're not saying it's the very best, just that it's high-quality.
  • Oppose: There's nothing special about this page. rpeh •TCE 03:14, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
  • Oppose: Per rpeh; this is not FA-material. --Krusty 08:01, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
  • Oppose: Ditto rpeh and Krusty; there's nothing that stands out enough about this article to justify featuring it on the main page. --GKtalk2me 23:06, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
  • Oppose: As with the above, its not really FA material, and doesn't showcase the sites talent for articles as much as other pages. - Emoboy64 00:39, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Shadowkey:Glacier Crawl

The mobile games might not have the graphics or gameplay of the main series, but UESP should take pride in being just about the only place on the internet where people can get accurate information on at least two of them (and a third is in the offing, I believe!)

This Shadowkey page shows off some of the intricate puzzles present in the mobile games along with representative examples of their graphics. Let's show off the fact that we have content to be found nowhere else on the net! rpeh •TCE 22:44, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

  • Support As nominator. rpeh •TCE 22:44, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Support These days, weeks and months, I'm crawling through Dawnstar, desperately trying to add complete information with absolutely nothing but notes and observations made from a very small screen filled with pixels. The nominated page proves just how much effort, pain and time it takes developing perfect pages from a display you can fit in your hand - and in this case, it turned out beautifully. With our brand new TES Travels entry on the sidebar, I think the Shadowkey namespace deserves the attention and I wholeheartedly support this nomination. --Krusty 20:12, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Conditional Support: It looks like a good article, but I've never played the game so I can't tell how accurate and/or complete it is. Still since it seems to be well detailed and thorough, I'll support it unless someone else has objections on those grounds.--TAOHuh? 23:50, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Conditional Support: Per TAO, not that I don't trust rpeh :P Contributions by other editors may be good, but I suppose that we might atract more Shadowkey players if this goes FA. --SerCenKing Talk 08:43, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
  • Neutral: The article looks a bit empty but it has enough information for a mobile game. And that's why I am voting "Neutral". --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 07:03, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Tes3Mod:Tamriel Rebuilt/Beasts

The biggest mod to be based on the Morrowind engine finds its natural home on UESP. We have a vast amount of information and this page is one of the best. New and old screenshots combine with new information to create a contrast between the original game and the imagination of modders. This page combines UESP's typical attention to detail with a set of beautiful and decorative screenshots. rpeh •TCE 22:53, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

  • Support As nominator. rpeh •TCE 22:53, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Support: Very good article, since Yashazamus I've always hoped another TR3 page would pop up! --SerCenKing Talk 08:43, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
  • Conditional Support: Again I haven't played this so unless someone else has problems on the grounds that it's inaccurate.--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 13:00, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
  • Temporary Oppose: I'd like to see this as an FA but... After looking at it I've noticed that a lot of the sections don't have any description of the creature in question. I just added a description for Kwama but until the rest of them are cleared up I don't really feel comfortable with supporting this as an FA.--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 13:24, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
  • Oppose: I agree with TAO; it seems like a bare-bones type of article to be featured on the main page in it's current state. --GKtalk2me 03:07, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
  • Comment: I've been working on this some but I'd like it if someone could check my work at some point.--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 04:00, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

Ghosts of Vitharn

This is a great quest page - and it's from SI! Since it's featured article quality and clears up the O(blivion).C(enterd).N(ear-sightedness) I don't see a reason not to feature it.--TAOHuh? 20:39, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

  • Support As nominator.--TAOHuh? 20:39, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Conditional Support: I think this is a little bit of a cheat - it's still the OB engine even if it's not a page in the OB namespace. Again, I think we need something from an older game to break up the flow. My support would also be conditional on the {{VN}} tags being fixed - we can't feature an article if we don't know what happens. rpeh •TCE 22:39, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Oppose: It's a nice article, but the {{VN}}s would definitely need to be addressed before I'd consider it for FA. --GKtalk2me 00:27, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Weak Oppose: While it breaks my heart because I contributed in some way to the page and know how much effort Krusty put into it, I still think we should give over namespaces a chance... Maybe once the others are passed we can come back to it. --SerCenKing Talk 08:43, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Morrowind:Seyda Neen

This is where the game of Morrowind begins, and UESP's page on the town is a perfect introduction to both the game and to Vvardenfell. It's elegant, simple, and tells you who you need to know, where you can find things, and everything else to get a new player started. rpeh •TCE 22:39, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

  • Support As nominator. rpeh •TCE 22:39, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Conditional Support I'll support this, but what happens if two articles tie? I think that needs to be cleared up before my vote is counted - if there's no good solution I'll stick with SI since it's never had an FA.--TAOHuh? 23:11, 17 September 2010 (UTC) Conditions met.--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 20:31, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
  • Comment: Reply to TAO: "Articles whose nominations pass will receive featured article status on the front page for at least one month and receive a small bronze star on the top right corner. If an article achieves featured status before the present featured article's month expires, it must wait its turn." So, each article would have one month as a featured article, and they'd be featured in the order they were nominated/supported. --GKtalk2me 00:26, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Support: I love this article, and just looking at it shows me how nice it would be to have more FAs from other games, since I don't really browse the other namespaces that often. I can only assume it would be the same for many readers. My main suggestion for the article would be some sort of addition to the introductory paragraph (the one that'll be on the Main Page) that somehow mentions it's significance as the starting point in Morrowind. The only other thing that stands out to me is the frequent use of "you" in the article, which I personally don't care for but isn't a deal-breaker. --GKtalk2me 00:26, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Support (after a fashion): I don't participate in Feature Article noms because I don't have a good sense of what makes an article good (which is also why I don't do a lot of content editing). That said, I feel we need to highlight the non-Oblivion games more and that this is the best of the three current non-Oblivion articles, so I'm supporting the nomination in that sense alone, trusting to others that the article is of appropriate quality and accuracy. Robin Hoodtalk 00:12, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Comment: Should the photos be bumped under the Seyda Neen info table or put horizontal somewhere? They look a bit awkward to me where they are now, but I can see other possible issue if they're moved. Robin Hoodtalk 00:12, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Comment:If someone could weigh in on this please? I hate to see it stuck in limbo because we need one more vote to have five. Of course if you don't support this for FA status thereareplenty of others too.--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 22:14, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
  • Support: Excellent article, nicely written, concise yet explicative. --SerCenKing Talk 08:43, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
  • Support: It seems like it covers everything and it would be nice to have a Morrowind article become a FA. --Arch-Mage Matt Did I Do That? 20:08, 4 October 2010 (UTC)

Anvil Mages Guild

I'd like to nominate the Anvil Mages Guild for featured article status. SerCenKing (and others) have put a lot of work into this and now it stands out as an example of what Place articles should look like.--TheAlbinoOrcany_questions? 18:07, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

  • Conditional Support: There's no doubt that the AMG is a good Oblivion page, and it deserves FA status, but can we look to other namespaces for a while? Oblivion has dominated the FA nominations for some time, and the only exceptions have been Lore articles - right back to Sep 2008 when Morrowind:Armor Artifacts made the grade. I will readily support this article for FA status, but can we at least try to find articles from other namespaces that meet the criteria? If not, it doesn't say very much for our role as a general TES site. rpeh •TCE 00:38, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Neutral: While I'm quite proud of the work we did on this article and so could never "oppose" it for FA, I agree that we should look elsewhere. This article looks no better than the other completed guild hall articles. Also, I think it's too similar to two other articles recently featured; Rosethorn Hall and especially Arcane University. I think we need to feature some different types of articles. Perhaps a quest article, or a Lore person article? We've never even had an SI FA. Maybe even a general namespace article, like Bethesda. Partially as an aside, when we eventually get more info on the other two mobile games, I think it would be a good idea to feature TES Travels. --GKtalk2me 19:12, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
  • Temporary Withdrawal of Nomination I withdraw the nomination until we've had a few more articles featured that aren't OB especially OB Places.--TAOHuh? 20:53, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

Lore:Septim Dynasty

This is a brand new article, but it is a prime example of extensive TES knowledge and probably the best Lore article launched for the longest time. It contains everything you ever wanted to know about the Septim Dynasty, complete with sources, book listings and the like - and even manages to do so without getting over-complicated and dull. We need a new Featured Article and this is one of the best and most researched articles of 2010 - and it needs to be featured on the main page as quickly as possible.

  • Support: As nominator. --Krusty 13:45, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
  • Support: Definitely. The most impressive Lore page I've ever seen. An excellent example of thorough research and extensive use of references; it should be used as a yardstick for all the namespace. --SerCenKing Talk 13:51, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
  • Support:wow...i'm stunned...that is really cool...and well wirghtin...so i'm supporting it--GUM!!! 13:52, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
  • Support:Very informative article, the lore section needs more like this. Jadrax 14:36, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
  • Support: I agree completely; rpeh is definitely a loremaster, and this extensive page proves that -- Jplatinum16 14:45, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
  • Support: Obviously I'm biased, but I'm quite proud of that page. Incidentally, it's not brand new - Booyah boy did the first version back in 2006 so most of the groundwork was done then, although there were a few mistakes. This version is now about as accurate as can be without sneaking a look at Bethesda's internal and super-secret Lore database. Here's hoping we can redo the rest of the Lore namespace with as much detail! rpeh •TCE 15:06, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
  • Support: I have always found just about any Lore article very interesting. This is no different, I'm also happy to see that the featured article section is getting a lot of activity. --Corevette789 16:03, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Oblivion:Janus Hassildor

I just saw the finished product of rpeh, Krusty and SerC and I think it is time for a new FA. It looks amazing, especially because Janus is one of the biggest characters in the game and those three did a fantastic job. The Arcane University has been up there for quite a while and adding this as the Featured Article will show off some hard work for the start of the ONPCRP overhaul.--Corevette789 18:44, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
  • Support — as nominator--Corevette789 18:55, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
  • Temporary Oppose — until that tag is gone from the top of the page. In other words, once it's been checked by the OBNPC Project people. Other than that though I think it's a good article that reads nicely and is full of information. Very FA worthy. - GLT|C 19:09, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
  • Comment — The ONPCRP tag is now gone from the page, meaning it had been written and checked in all stages!--Corevette789 20:19, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
  • Support — because the page is well writen(in my opinion)--GUM!!! 12:30, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
  • Support — This article is very well written and is the the pinnacle of all the ONPCRP articles, showing people that the pages can be done and to a very high standard. Referring to why the article was nominated in the first place 'adding this as the Featured Article will show off some hard work for the start of the ONPCRP overhaul' it could potentially get more users active in the project. This is why I think that Janus Hassildor is worthy of FA status. Emoboy64 17:28, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
  • Support — It's a well-written article that serves as a good example of the results that were in mind when the OBNPCRP was begun, and of the work our talented team of editors is capable of on particularly detailed projects. --GKtalk2me 18:27, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
  • Support — I was waiting for the tag to come off, but I've always wanted to support it. A great page, especially thanks to Krusty's tireless work! --SerCenKing Talk 14:41, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Oblivion:Arcane University

This is a very new article but a very good one. Most of the credit goes to Jplatinum16 but there's been a great community effort in tweaking and polishing (and providing images!). It's got a great level of detail with a lot of useful information and shows what can be done when a determined editor gets to work.

  • Support: As nominator. rpeh •TCE 12:58, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
  • Support: It's a quite substantial, well-written article and displays everything that we're looking for in a Featured Article. --GKtalk2me 18:51, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
