Quick Walkthrough

1. Speak to Nelmyne Athones in her Market Quarter store about a stolen robe.
2. (Optional) Ask around the Narsis Waterfront about the robe.
3. Talk to Gently-Rocking-Hull at The Rigged Challenge.
4. Either:
   • Warn her of Nelmyne's hunt (ends quest, rewards 200 gold).
   • Request private long blade training (requires 85+ disposition).
   • Ask her about the stolen robe with 0+ disposition, then win the fight.
5. Bring the Robe of Heavy Swinging (item) to Nelmyne.

Detailed Walkthrough

Nelmyne Athones maintains an enchanter's store in the Market Quarter of Narsis. She has lately been the victim of a burglary, with a stolen robe taken by an Argonian thief. She's unable to pay the City Guard enough drakes to help, so asks if you will. If you agree, she'll describe the Argonian as appearing like a sailor, and suggests asking around on the Waterfront.

Go to the city waterfront and start asking around about the stolen robe. You'll find yourself pointed towards Gently-Rocking-Hull at The Rigged Challenge. The entrance to this establishment is opposite the High Elven ship. Gently-Rocking-Hull is inside, wearing a very sparkly robe. You can handle her in a number of ways. Choosing to warn her ends the quest, but she'll give you 200 gold before she scarpers. You can alternatively take her up on her offer of long blade training. Ask her about this topic and then about a private lesson. If you have 85+ disposition, she'll oblige you - removing the robe in order to move. Challenging her on this will result in her admitting her guilt, and handing the robe back.

A third route involves annoying the Argonian into attacking. Each time you ask her about the stolen robe topic, her disposition will drop. If you ask while it's at 0, she will attack you. You can take the robe from her once she has been defeated.

If you do get the robe, return to Nelmyne for a reward.

Notes

• Gently-Rocking-Hull while wearing the robe is a Master Trainer who can raise your Long Blade skill to 100. Without, she can raise it only to 60.
