Ogrub gro-Nag is an Orc scribe and ambassador from Orsinium, sent to Old Ebonheart to represent his home there. He and his guards have been somewhat lightly accommodated, with their embassy being a cobweb-filled rooftop attic in the Ebon Tower. As with all ambassadors in the various missions, he can shed a good deal of light upon his homeland.
Ogrub seems to have a particular interest in the Orcish tribes residing on Morrowind's western border (in an as-yet unreleased area).
He wears a common shirt, a pair of extravagant pants, and a pair of common shoes. He wields an iron morningstar.
Like all Orcs, he has a natural resistance to magicka, and can boost his health, fatigue and attack for short periods, at the cost of his agility. In addition, he also knows the following spells: Cure Poison, Great Heal Companion, Resist Fire, Rest of St. Merris, and Seryn's Gift.
Dialogue[edit]
- Greetings:
- "Welcome to the Orsinium Embassy. I am the ambassador, %Name, and I represent my people in this fine city. Perhaps I might regale you with my latest trials and tribulations regarding contact with my people here, if you've got time to chat."
- (If you are an Orc):
- "Welcome, fellow %PCRace, to the Orsinium Embassy. I am the ambassador, %Name. We have everything you could ever want -- liquor, weapons, other Orcs. You're among friends here. Perhaps I might regale you with my latest trials and tribulations regarding contact with our people here."
- (Upon talking to him again):
- "Welcome again to the Orsinium Embassy. If you're here to chat, perhaps I might speak with you about contact with my people here."
- accomplishments are few:
- "Excuse me, I am the first in my family to venture further than the front gate of our stronghold. I consider myself VERY accomplished, thank you very much."
- atrocities of war:
- "Dreadful stuff, yes. Is there a reason you're bringing this up? You're a very gloomy person."
- Background:
- "I am %Name, Orsinium's ambassador to King Helseth and the Ebon Hold. I represent the interests of my noble people in Morrowind."
- contact with my people:
- "As you might know, there are many different tribes of Orcs. Centuries without a province to call home spread our people to the far reaches of Tamriel, where many of these tribes began anew. Some of these tribes settled here in Morrowind, you may have met them on your travels. The most elusive, however are the Malahk Orcs."
- die like a warrior:
- "No thank you, that's why I became a politician."
- Gortwog gro-Nagorm:
- "The Lord of Orsinium and chieftain of the Minat Orc tribe. He founded our great nation of Orsinium and gave our people a true home."
- Malahk Orcs:
- "The Malahk Orcs live in a secluded kingdom in the Velothi mountains to the west, on the Cyrodiil border. They call it Marakh-Bazhul. Now a Malahk Orc isn't an Orc like me, no. A Malahk Orc is taller, stronger, and much more savage. Everything that makes an Orc they have double. We've tried reaching out to form an alliance in the past, but none of our emissaries have come back with all the limbs they left with. If you're going out that way and you meet them, I'd love to hear about it."
- Morrowind:
- "It's a fine province. Plenty of bandits to mow down with an axe and far away from the dreariness of Imperial civilization. I can't say I enjoy it being filled with elves, though."
- name is unimportant:
- "I mean realistically yes, you'll most likely walk out of here and not remember Ogrub gro-Nag."
- nothing left:
- "Nothing left? Have you heard of liquor? Women? Reading a good book by a roaring fire? Sounds like you're got your priorities in the wrong order."
- Orsinium:
- "The Orc kingdom of Orsinium lies in eastern High Rock, nestled between many mountains. The kingdom has been lost and restored many times over the years, but the hero Gortwog gro-Nagorm defeated a Breton lord in a duel and won us our independence once again. As the newest kingdom in Tamriel we have yet to receive official recognition as a province from the Emperor."
