Maniel's Diamond is a unique cursed diamond that can be found next to a warning note on the floor of the Mages Guild basement in Old Ebonheart. When picked up, a scrib will appear behind you and start the quest 'Don't Touch My Gems!'. Maniel's diamond will then be replaced with a regular diamond in your inventory. You can then ask Maniel Sylbenitte in the next room about cursed gems to continue the quest.
