1. Hear rumors about sightings of daedra in the Mephalan Vales.
2. Find Flaalsa Irano in Akamora and get orders to kill the Dridrea Matriarch.
3. Find and kill the Dridrea Matriarch.
4. Return to Flaalsa Irano.

Detailed Walkthrough

Rumors in Akamora will tell you about sightings of daedra known as Dridrea in the local mountains, and how this coincides with some recent reports of missing persons. You will be advised to talk to a guard about the problem, and they will point you in the direction of the guard captain Flaalsa Irano.

The Dridrea Matriarch can be found in a small valley with two smaller dridrea guarding her somewhat southeast of Akamora, but the way up onto the mountain path to her lair may be hard to find. The Matriarch will be a tough fight, so go prepared. Once you have killed her and her minions, head back to Akamora and talk to Flaalsa Irano to collect the bounty.

Notes

• This quest can be completed without first talking to Flaalsa Irano. If you find and kill the Dridrea Matriarch before talking to her, you will receive a journal update for a different quest with the same title (see below) and can still collect the 1000 gold bounty in Akamora from her.
• Be sure to Soul Trap the Dridrea Matriarch, as her whopping 500-point soul is greater than that of any creature in the original game and official expansions short of Almalexia and Vivec.

10	Finishes quest	I have been warned about traveling through the Mephalan Vales. Apparently there have been sightings of Dridrea recently as well as reports of people missing.
15		The guard captain, Flaalsa Irano, is apparently really concerned about the Dridrea sightings in the mountains. She'll most likely be somewhere in the Akamora Guard Tower.
20		I've spoken with Flaalsa Irano, who is pretty worried about a Dridrea colony attacking travelers close to Akamora. She's willing to pay a decent amount of gold to anyone willing to go out and put down the Dridrea.
30		I've agreed to help Flaalsa Irano. I must find and eliminate the Dridrea Matriarch. She believes that with the Matriarch gone, it should cause the rest of them to scatter. The guards in Tomaril Manor can probably give me some directions.
40		I have killed the Dridrea Matriarch. I should head back to Akamora and report my success to Flaalsa Irano.
50	Finishes quest	Flaalsa Irano thanked me for taking care of the Dridrea Matriarch and paid me the 1000 drakes she had promised.

10		I have killed a Dridrea Matriarch which seemed to be responsible for a number of corpses close to the town of Akamora. I should probably report this to one of the guards there.
