Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
The Wood Elf, Gweiwen, stands outside the gate at Stormgate Pass. She's hunting an escaped Argonian slave named Long-Are-Days. Agree to help her, and she'll ask you to question the locals. Do so and you'll quickly be referred to the local inn - The Saxhleel Balladeer. Non-Argonians inside will point you to Thales Darano at the inn, who can in turn give you a hint - the Argonian is somewhere in the canyons south of Stormgate Pass.
Travel south. Long-Are-Days stands to the south of the Ayleid ruin of Mala Tor, among plants with pointed orange leaves. Speaking to him will reveal that he apparently regrets his decision to escape, and he asks that you inform Gweiwen where he is. You can ask him for his reasons, and he'll confess them with 90+ disposition. Otherwise, you have to either take him at his word and return to Gweiwen, or else look around.
If you look closely around the area, you'll see a Chitin Dagger of Poison lying on the ground. Pick it up to receive a journal update. This allows you to challenge Long-Are-Days on his story. He'll admit that he means to kill Gweiwen with the dagger once she arrives. You can express your intent to warn her, but this will initiate combat. If you do kill him, return to Gweiwen for 180 gold. If you choose to tell Long-Are-Days you will help him however, return to Gweiwen. You can either assist Long-Are-Days with his scheme and speak to her of his helplessness, rewarding 60 gold, or else warn her of his plot. This latter option rewards the Amulet of Lucky Blows.
Notes[edit]
- If you inform Gweiwen of Long-Are-Days whereabouts, but not of his dagger, you can later find her body where Long-Are-Days stood.
