Quick Walkthrough

1. Talk to Ralsa Ondusi about duties and Passwall.
2. Go to Alta Vathor and question Lord Mhas Vathor.
3. Soultrap High Khan Volnyr in the Narsis Catacombs.
4. Deliver Volnyr's soul to Lord Mhas.

Detailed Walkthrough

High Khan Volnyr looks similar to the other ancestor ghosts in the catacombs. Take care to soul trap the right one, or bring extra soul gems. He is in the Janus Burial.

5		Ralsa Ondusi told me that Archmage Ysadora disappeared after the two of them attempted to resurrect the spell Passwall through the Guild's reactor. She gave me the Archmage's old hat and told me to bring it to the Dremora Lord Mhas Vathor at his shrine Alta Vathor in the Coronati Basin. Ralsa thinks that Mhas will be able to use it to track Archmage's whereabouts.
10		Ralsa Ondusi told me that Archmage Ysadora disappeared after the two of them attempted to resurrect the spell Passwall through the Guild's reactor. I showed Ondusi the wizard's old hat that I found in Old Ebonheart, and she told me that it belonged to the Archmage. She told me to bring it to the Dremora Lord Mhas Vathor at his shrine Alta Vathor in the Coronati Basin. Ralsa thinks that Mhas will be able to use it to track the Archmage's whereabouts.
15		I told Ralsa Ondusi that I already killed Lord Mhas Vathor. She said the Sorcerer Sigillah Parate will be able to summon Lord Mhas back from Oblivion.
20		Sigillah Parate needs three exclusive fortify magicka potions to conjure Lord Mhas Vathor back from Oblivion.
25		Lord Mhas Vathor has been conjured back to Nirn.
50		Mhas Vathor told me that he would help me find Archmage Ysadora in exchange for the soul of Saharkhan Volnyr, a powerful ancestral ghost in the Narsis Catacombs.
60		I failed to trap the soul of Saharkhan Volnyr for Lord Mhas Vathor. Lord Mhas said that he would accept the soul of a Golden Saint instead.
100	Finishes quest	Lord Mhas Vathor told me that Archmage Ysadora is still alive, but she is in a place that neither of us can reach without Passwall. I will need to find a way to recover Passwall myself if I am to locate the Archmage. Since she was working with the Archmage to recover the lost spell, Ralsa Ondusi may have thoughts about how that can be achieved.
110	Finishes quest	I gave the Gauntlets of the Poor back to Lord Mhas Vathor in exchange for help finding Archmage Ysadora. Lord Mhas told me that Archmage Ysadora is still alive, but she is in a place that neither of us can reach without Passwall. I will need to find a way to recover Passwall myself if I am to locate the Archmage. Since she was working with the Archmage to recover the lost spell, Ralsa Ondusi may have thoughts about how that can be achieved.
