Take the money and just let us go[edit]

Despite what was written in the article, I actually CAN hear this conversation, but it's too far away for subtitles to appear. What's supposed to happen is that the falmer is triggered to attack as soon as you go 'round the corner and are within visual range - he opens the gate just as the female bandit has a final line, charges in, and slaughters the two of them. It frequently doesn't work, however, as the falmer gets stuck behind the fingers of the claw gate, leaving the two bandits standing there waiting for him to come in and kill them instead of running away or attacking him. When it does work, however, you hear the beginning lines as you approach, then the final line as you round the corner, you see the falmer attack and take down the two bandits with ease, and... Well, by then, you're close enough to where you can avenge them. Even if you're fast enough to kill the falmer before he attacks the bandits, it doesn't matter. Once the bandits leave the enclosure (assuming they even survive to do so), their deaths are scripted. Although the whole scene sometimes fails, when it works, it's really a great addition to the overall tension, making the falmer appear far more terrifying. 67.0.5.174 02:54, 10 November 2013 (GMT)

Yeah, it is possible to hear it - but after running several tests in an attempt to figure out 'a perfect way' to trigger it, I decided that it was bugged and put it in that section. Thanks for the details though - hopefully, the patch people will solve this at some point. --Krusty (talk) 07:02, 10 November 2013 (GMT)
When I played, the bandits won and then just stood there until they detected, and attacked, me. KaidaThyme (talk) 23:39, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

M'aiq the Liar[edit]

I was randomly exploring the area northwest of Karthwasten and came across M'aiq the Liar, very close to Liar's Retreat. While I assume that there's no in-game connection, I found the coincidence amusing. Emma of Falkreath (talk) 06:09, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
