How does Hearthfire interact with this quest?

I should imagine that the deaths of Lars's or Braith's parents would interfere with the quest when they go to Honorhall Orphanage in Riften. Especially if you adopt them. What exactly happens? CAN they go to the orphanage? TorchicBlaziken (talk) 23:07, 26 November 2012 (GMT)

Yes they can go to the Orphanage. However, the location of NPCs does not effect how the quest turns out.--Br3admax (talk) 23:17, 26 November 2012 (GMT)

"freely enter the house"

The notes indicate that you may freely enter the house after completing the quest. However, you don't have a key, and must still go through the pick lock procedure. This makes it appear as if you must break in and commit a crime to enter. Picking the lock does not count as a crime. 199.195.165.117 16:18, 26 November 2014 (GMT)

Quest availability

At what point does the quest finally become active? I witnessed one of their little dialogs and spoken to Lars but still can't broach the subject of his bully.142.118.33.75 04:26, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
