Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

(?)

Once you enter Nchuanthumz, head straight and deal with a few skeevers until you reach the lift to Nchuanthumz's Manufactory. Use the lift and then continue straight forward until you reach the corpse of Seeks-Ancient-Artifacts, examine the body to find a Dwemer Actuator and his second journal.

The journal lists the items required to repair the assembly lines, with the required items being one Dwarven oil, three Dwemer cogs, and three Dwemer Actuators. The room already contains everything you need. You should already have one Dwemer Actuator from Artifacts’ own inventory; the other two are on the two tables on either side of the room, alongside the cogs and the oil. Collect all the required items and activate the Dwarven Sphere Overseer button. The quest markers will direct you to press either the right or left button to do so.

The Dwarven Sphere Overseer will emerge from the scuttle on the right side of the room. Follow the Dwarven Sphere Overseer and give it the repair parts by interacting with it. You can then activate the manufactory; if you already have a Centurion Dynamo Core then you can head straight to the room on the left, however if you don't have one, go to the room on the west side of the manufactory to find a destroyed Dwarven Centurion Master, whose body has a core on it.

Place the Centurion Dynamo Core into the Dynamo Actuator and then activate the button next to it. This will build a Dwarven Spider Renovator, head back to the lift and go back up to Nchuanthumz. There are three sections of the house to clear with the spider, each takes 24 hours once the spider is summoned using one of the levers. Once all three sections are complete, the quest will finish and you will have a fully furnished Dwarven house.

Quest Stages[edit]

The Sanctuary and the Manufactory (ccAARSSE001ManufactoryControlQuest)
Stage Finishes Quest Journal Entry
5 Travelers throughout Skyrim have discovered ancient Dwemer ruins full of perilous traps and buried treasure. I've heard rumors, however, of one such sanctuary being used as a home. I should check the surrounding inns for clues on its whereabouts.
Objective 5: Search for information at The Frozen Hearth
10 I have discovered the journal of an Argonian named Seeks-Ancient-Artifacts. It details an expedition to Skyrim to find a lost Dwemer sanctuary, Nchuanthumz. If I travel to Frostroot Cave, I might be able to pick up their trail.
Objective 10: Discover Nchuanthumz
30 I've discovered Nchuanthumz but did not find the expedition team. Perhaps if I gain access to his partner's Manufactory, I can learn what happened to them.
Objective 30: Access Nchuanthumz's Manufactory
40 I've made my way into Nchuanthumz Manufactory and can now explore the area to see what secrets are inside.
Objective 40: Explore the Manufactory
50 I've made my way into Nchuanthumz Manufactory and can now explore the area to see what secrets are inside. Near a control panel, I found a dead Argonian explorer. I should inspect his body for clues.
Objective 50: Examine the corpse for clues
55 I've made my way into Nchuanthumz Manufactory and can now explore the area to see what secrets are inside. Near a control panel, I found an Argonian explorer with a journal on his body.
Objective 54: Read Seek-Ancient-Artifacts' journal
54 Inside Nchuanthumz Manufactory, I found an Argonian explorer with a journal on his body. It detailed how I might be able to summon a dwarven sphere overseer and provide it with the parts needed to repair the assembly lines in the manufactory in order to bring it fully online.
Objective 49: Summon the Dwarven Sphere Overseer
Objective 55: Collect Dwemer Cogs for the Manufactory (0/3)
Objective 56: Collect Dwemer Actuators for the Manufactory (0/3)
Objective 57: Collect Dwemer Oil for the Manufactory (0/1)
Objective 58: Return the collected parts to the Dwarven Sphere Overseer
60 I provided the dwarven sphere overseer with the requisite parts and can now bring the manufactory back online. I should be able to use the manufactory to restore the sanctuary using the constructs that can be built there.
Objective 60: Turn on the Manufactory
59 The Nchuanthumz Manufactory is now online. I can build a spider construct at the assembly line using a centurion dynamo core. With the spider construct, I can use it to further restore the sanctuary on the ground floor.
Objective 80: Construct a Dwarven Spider Renovator
80 Using the Nchuanthumz Manufactory assembly line, I built a spider construct to help renovate the house. Once I summon it using the levers on the ground floor of the sanctuary, I must wait a full day for renovations to complete.
Objective 90: Summon the Dwarven Spider Renovator to clean a section of the house
Objective 70: Wait 24 hours for the renovations to finish
100 Finishes quest☑ Using the Nchuanthumz Manufactory assembly line, I built a spider construct to help renovate the house. After summoning the construct on the main level of the ruin, I was able to fully restore the home.
Objective 1: Read the assembly line status report

Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage ccAARSSE001ManufactoryControlQuest stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest using resetquest ccAARSSE001ManufactoryControlQuest.
