Trespassing?[edit]
I was standing in a barrel duplicating alocasia fruit in bliss, he passes, and I speak to him, and I get the quest, and even though I'm in Bliss, he acts like if I where trespassing in his house. Does anyone know the cause and/or the fix? I'm on PS3. 90.235.147.53 20:23, 23 December 2010 (UTC)
- This happened to me too, on the Xbox. I was hopping around Bliss when I came across him on the second story bridge between Orinthal's house and Books of Bliss. He was just standing there, staring at Orinthal's door. I stopped and chatted for a minute. I already had his quest, so this bug isn't caused by getting it. I left by hopping onto some nearby rooftops. A while later I noticed him following me below. I dropped down to talk to him again, and nothing seemed different as far as conversation options go. He just kept following me! A few minutes later he gave me the "You'll have to leave now. I have things to do." dialogue, and I realized he thought I was in his house. So I thought I would try leading him to his house and go inside. I did that, but he didn't follow me in. I wandered his house for a bit to be sure he wasn't somewhere inside, then left again. As I walked out the door, he came running around the corner, greeted me, then disappeared into the house. That seemed to be the end of it. So it seems like once you leave the area, the problem will resolve.
- I do have a theory as to how this occurred. His AI is set for him to go between his house and Books of Bliss. Perhaps he occasionally leaves by the wrong upstairs door for some reason, then gets stuck on the bridge, since he can't go through Orinthal's house, and it's counter intuitive for the AI to take him back into Books of Bliss, since that is where he just left. Then he behaves as if he's in his house, so when the player gets nearby, he starts following him/her around. If this is the case, he would get down by jumping off the bridge; it's not too huge of a fall, so I assume he could survive. I am totally just guessing here though. It was pretty weird. - I have met him countless times on that balcony, but when I did the revamp of the page, I simply couldn't get him up there. If you can find the determining factor, it is definitely worth mentioning. --Krusty 21:56, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
Location[edit]
Had a hard time finding him. He wasn't in his house, he wasn't at the tavern. Finally found him in the "church". Samite Alchemist — Unsigned comment by 70.22.190.156 (talk) at 22:58 on January 15, 2011
