Quick Walkthrough

1. Talk to Jo'Taash about give a performance and the Nightingale.
2. Wearing your outfit, speak to Filhallil.
   • (Optional) If you recruited him as the Pilgrim in The Large, ask for Harge the Large to join you for this fight.
   • (Optional) If you recruited her as the Brigand or the Creature in Takhur The Terrible, ask for Takhur the Terrible to join you for this fight.
3. Defeat The Nightingale in the Abecette's Fight Pit.
4. Speak to Filhallil.
5. Return to the pit and talk to the true Raco Derissa.

Detailed Walkthrough

It's time for the big one - your character's facing off against The Nightingale. Expect a tough battle with multiple opponents.

As ever, you need to speak with Jo'Taash first about give a performance and the Nightingale, and then (with headgear on) talk to Filhallil. Depending on your choices in previous quests, he may give you the option of bringing in another fight pit combatant to assist you. If you have been playing as the Pilgrim, and asked to join forces with Harge the Large during The Large, you will be able to bring him in on your side. If you have been playing as the Brigand or the Creature however, you will be able to bring Takhur the Terrible along - provided that you suggested joining forces with her in the previous fight.

Regardless of whether you have assistance or not, enter the pit on concluding your conversation with Filhallil. Jo'Taash will announce the fight's start, and the Nightingale will immediately summon a Clannfear and a Hunger.

In the event of a loss, you can still claim 500 gold from Filhallil as a reward for participating, but you probably want to hold out for the victory by reducing the Nightingale to less than 20% of their 177 health. If you triumph, talk to Filhallil initially to be sent straight back to the pit, where the Abecette's proprietor, Raco Derissa, awaits. He will thank you for your service (in character) before proclaiming you the Timeless Champion of the Abecette and rewarding you with the Sword of the Sunrise. You'll additionally get +2 general Reputation for your win.

Your chosen role has now reached the end of its performing life.

• This quest cannot be undertaken while the Cyrodiil Thieves Guild quest The Fix is In is active.
