Valkyn Skoria

Valkyn Skoria is a minion of Mehrunes Dagon. He leads the attack on the graht-oak city formerly known as Whisper Grove in Greenshade.

Skills and Abilities

The Valkyn brandishing his sword in combat

As a boss type enemy, Valkyn Skoria is immune to all crowd control effects.

Flame Strike

A basic melee attack that deals minor flame damage.

Meteor Strike

A heavy melee attack that deals high physical damage.

Fire Stab

The boss summons a flaming pool at its location that releases lines of flame dealing moderate flame damage. Stay away from it to avoid the fire lines.

Platform Detonation

After an amount of time, he will move to the center of the platform he's standing on and drive his claymore into it, breaking the platform and forcing players to migrate to a new one to avoid the lava. He will summon a few flame atronachs after teleporting to a new platform. This will continue until no platforms remain. Players should ensure the group has enough damage to kill the boss before all platforms are gone.

Flame Spit

After teleporting, the boss summons a shield around himself that shoots fireballs continuously as long as its up dealing moderate flame damage over time to all players.

Magma Prison

The boss throws rocks at two random players stunning them for a long time. While stunned, players will take moderate flame damage over time. Break free to counter this.

Flame Bolt

The boss will randomly target a player and channel a fireball in one hand that will knock back (called Flame Bolt Knockdown) its target if it hits.

Meteor ^{[verification needed]}

Throughout the fight meteors will randomly strike the platform dealing moderate flame damage as indicated by red circles.

Dialogue

When Urata is defeated:

Fingaenion: "Gilraen! You look—are you all right?"

Fingaenion: "What did they do to you?"

Gilraen: "Never mind that. How about you try not getting yourself killed? The Valkyn and his pet Titan—we're going to slay them before they do the same to us."

Valkyn Skoria: "I will see to it the Golden Flame erases you."

Arriving at the Ash Titan:

Valkyn Skoria: "Your skins will make fine banners!"

Monynen: "What is that, up in the sky? It's like no fowl I've ever seen."

Ash Titan: "This is the end of the line. Valkyn Skoria wants you dead."

When you reach the crossroads in front of the broken bridge during the quest, Skoria will address Gilraen.

Valkyn Skoria: "Do you have a deathwish, mortal wretch? You've been complacent for so long—why seek open war now?"

Gilraen: "I'm leaving. The deal was my husband and the others would be spared. You violated the Pact, and before the day is done, I will see you dead."

Valkyn Skoria: "A Daedra doesn't know the meaning of that word, my dear. This will be unpleasant."

Gilraen: "For you."

Reaching Skoria during Return to Ash:

Valkyn Skoria: "You don't need to come down here for me to hurt you."

Gilraen: "No! Fingaenion!"

Gilraen: "Tear his heart out! I'll tend to my husband."

Combat dialogue:
