 Whatever this colossal onyx shard may be, one thing is certain: it comes from somewhere beyond the bounds of Tamriel. And the fabric of Tamriel may not be strong enough to contain its power.

Spellscar is a giant obelisk that crashed to Tamriel, located north of Belkarth in Craglorn.
The resulting impact created a large crater and devastated the surrounding landscape. Many have theorized that this obelisk is in reality the Mage Celestial's staff that fell from the sky when the Mage was corrupted.
Groups of Spellfiends and atronachs guard the area. Daggerbacks, Glow Bugs and Skavengers are found around the crater.
The northern section of the crater is marred by lightning: a burned windmill sits in the distance, and storm atronachs patrol the ashen fields. The southeaastern section is desolate, burned by a flaming scourge. Flame atronachs dance throughout the singed hills. The southwestern section is an ashen, frozen wasteland where frost atronachs stand as silent sentinels.

The Mage's Staff[edit]
A tumultuous stretch of rocky islands scarred by elemental magic. Atronachs of varying elemental make guard the way forward. The staff's core lies at the far northern end of the path. When you defeat a group of enemies on an island, a violet bridge of pure magicka leading to the next island forms.
