After completing the quest, she will say:

"I'm glad you brought the families some closure. Still, I would have liked to end the bastard myself."

Approach her after returning the keepsakes to the murder victims' relatives.

The people you were paid to look for are all dead.

"You must have found the murderer himself. Since you're still alive, I assume he's dead.
Good. I've been trying to find him for years. You've earned the pay I took from the families."
