The Regent of Sunport[edit]
After you have located most of the Alliance representatives and had them come to Sunport, Prince Azah will ask for your assistance with talking to Regent Karinwe. He previously told her of the Stirk Fellowship's intentions, and there is a need to finalize plans between the Fellowship and Sunport. However, the Regent has not returned word and Prince Azah will want you to meet at the Vinutilmo Palace to speak with the Regent and secure her support.
When you arrive in the palace, you meet with a panicking Midconjuror Mirmal. Regent Karinwe is nowhere to be found and her guards are missing. After searching the area, you find a witness who says she witnessed Karinwe being kidnapped, and your only clue is Swencoast Cottage. Traveling to the cottage to the southwest, you find it swarming with Worm Cultists, but you also meet the missing Dominion representative, Razum-dar.
With his help, you enter the manor and find the tied-up Regent Karinwe in the study on the second floor. Once you free her, she thanks you but has something urgent to tell you:
- Regent Karinwe: "Oh, that is better. My thanks, but there is something you need to hear."
Talk to Regent Karinwe to see what she knows:
- "Thank the Three Queens! Those horrible necromancers promised to steal my soul when they finished with me. I feared this old house would be the last thing I ever saw.
But there is more to say … if I can trust you, stranger." - I'm [PlayerName]. We're with the Stirk Fellowship and we're here to rescue you.
- "Someone noticed I was abducted, then? I was afraid the Worm Cult had spirited me out of the city before anyone realized. But that's not important—we must return to Sunport at once.
The Worm Cult is about to do something terrible!" - Something terrible? What exactly is the Worm Cult planning to do?
- "I overheard my captors. The Worm Cult positioned some sort of necromantic weapons throughout the Palace District. They're preparing to seal off the district and slaughter all within!
We must get back to Sunport and sound the alarm!" - We'll return to Sunport at once.
Afterwards, Razum-dar will volunteer to escort her as you go ahead to Sunport:
- Razmum-dar: "Go on, five-claw. Raz will escort the noble lady back to Sunport."
- Regent Karinwe: "You have my gratitude, kind sir."
Talking to Regent Karinwe before you leave:
- "I have no idea what the Worm Cult hopes to gain from random slaughter. For that matter, I do not know what they are doing in Solstice at all. But somehow we must meet this threat.
There is no time to waste—Sunport is in danger."
When you arrive in Sunport, you can meet with Prince Azah in the West Plaza. Razum-dar will soon arrive, introducing himself and Regent Karinwe. If you talk to Regent Karinwe before Prince Azah:
- "I owe you a great debt, traveler. You and the handsome Razum-dar. If you had not saved me from my abductors, who knows what my fate would have been.
Now talk to Prince Azah and find out what he means. There may still be time to stop the Worm Cult!"
Talking with Prince Azah, he explains that while you were gone, hidden Worm Cult agents came out of hiding and began attacking the Palace District. He will hand you Adrard's Townhouse Key and tells you to get into the district through Adrard's Townhouse. Before you leave, you have the option of talking to Regent Karinwe:
- "I cannot believe it, fighting in the streets of Sunport. These Worm Cult invaders must be stopped!
While our defensive forces are not unlimited, whatever Sunport has will join with the Stirk Fellowship. For Sunport! For Solstice! For victory!" - What will I find on the other side of the hidden entrance Prince Azah mentioned?
- "The passage leads through a gap in the old city wall to a townhouse inside the Palace District. It opens into the street just below the square by Vinutilmo Palace's main entrance.
I imagine we will find the Worm Cult leaders there." - We? What will you be doing?
- "I detest bloodshed, but I cannot stand by while others fight to protect my people. I will join the soldiers Prince Azah sends through the shopkeeper's passage. After you go in, I will make my way to the palace.
tiously." - I'll see you inside.
Talking to her again before you leave:
- "Move fast and strike without hesitation, champion. The lives of my people are at risk."
When you enter Adrard's Townhouse through the store's backdoor, there will be Stirk Fellowship Soldiers and soon Regent Karinwe and Razum-dar will arrive:
- Regent Karinwe: "Good, no sign of the Worm Cult yet. Head down the stairs. We will hold here for now."
- Razum-dar: "Remember to disable the soul reapers, five-claw. Raz will seek the high ground."
The soldiers will direct you to the tunnels and two of them will accompany you in the Palace district. You will need to fight your way through the Worm Cultists to reach the Palace while disabling soul reapers along the way. Once inside the palace, you will encounter Mage Farinor and Tidemuck, and the former leaves midway through the fight. Once Tidemuck is dealt with, you and Skordo the Knife search for clues in the unlocked Regent's study and find Wormblood's Orders.
When you leave the palace, Regent Karinwe will be waiting alongside Prince Azah and the Stirk Fellowship representatives. If you talk to her before Prince Azah:
- "Thank you, champion. I do not know what we would have done without you or the others who came from the mainland to help us against the Worm Cult.
You should report to Prince Azah. I am sure he wants to know how you fared."
Speaking to Regent Karinwe before completing the quest:
- "Wormblood. It seems I now know what to call our enemy. Yet I still do not know why he came to Solstice.
Speak with Prinze Azah, champion. Whatever comes next, my house and my people must look to the Stirk Fellowship for help."
Talking to Karinwe after completing the quest, but before starting the next one:
- "Thank you for defending my people and driving the Worm Cult from our city. You and your allies are champions indeed.
The Stirk Fellowship has earned the support of Sunport. Together we shall end this threat to both our island and the mainland."
