Quest-Related Dialogue[edit]
When you approach her:
The first time you approach him for a job, she will greet you with the following:
- "Ah, now here's the sort of freelancer I've been waiting for! The College of Tomes is hiring adventurers like you to deal with threats of arcane importance all over Solstice.
In fact, I've got a job right now if you're interested."
With subsequent jobs, she'll greet you with one of the following:
After accepting a quest:
- "Come back when you've taken care of that job I gave you. Preferably without getting killed or damaging something priceless and irreplaceable."
- (?)

- (?)
Returning to her after completing your task, she may say one of the following:
If you finished your daily quest for the day:
You also have the option of asking Morlia about the jobs and herself:
- Does the College of Tomes often hire adventurers for threats like this?
- "Under normal circumstances, no! But Solstice has been thrown out of balance since the arrival of this Worm Cult.
Luckily, our leadership has sense enough to unfurl a scroll in the proper direction, so to speak. We take help wherever we can find it." - And what sort of jobs are you offering, exactly?
- "The sort that are best handled in a group.
It's not strictly necessary, of course, but you'll fare best on my jobs if you can bring friends, or if you happen to meet some along the way."
- "The sort that are best handled in a group.
- "Under normal circumstances, no! But Solstice has been thrown out of balance since the arrival of this Worm Cult.
- Tell me about yourself.
- "My favorite topic! The name's Morlia. Retired adventurer, former explorer, lifelong collector of antiquities and curiosities. My fellows in the College of Tomes think history belongs in old books. I prefer history you can hold in your hand."
- You were an adventurer and explorer?
- "Likely long before your time, mainlander. Few Corelanyans ever leave Solstice, but I had incurable wanderlust that took me far from the shores of this mad island.
When I returned, I discovered a fondness for the place that I never had in my youth." - And that's why you're helping protect it now?
- "I can't stand to see my home's unique history and culture lost to the aims of this wicked Worm Cult.
Just as I aided in many mainland endeavors in my time, I'm glad to see mainlanders like yourself helping us now."
- "I can't stand to see my home's unique history and culture lost to the aims of this wicked Worm Cult.

Gaulm's Lair[edit]
- I'm listening, tell me about the job.
- "The ruins of Tuniria, an old Corelanyan settlement south of Sunport, normally serves as a training ground for the College of Tomes.
But a rampaging vahath behemoth has taken up residence there. Our adepts are ill-equipped to drive it out." - Tell me more about this vahath behemoth.
- "A cold-blooded monstrosity hatched from a bad egg. This one, Gaulm, keeps voriplasms as pets.
We can't have them causing further damage the ruins, so when you dispose of Gaulm, burn the remaining voriplasms. If you can, do so in a group." - All right. I'll deal with Gaulm and burn the remaining voriplasms.
After accepting the task, you can ask about Vahath Behemoths:
- What exactly is a vahath behemoth, anyway?
- "Their kind were once Argonians, altered in the egg by ancient arcane meddling. They turn into brutes, losing the power of speech and moving like monsters, but retaining a clever malice.
Vahath behemoths are quite rare, thank the Three Queens." - What do you mean by ancient arcane meddling?
- "Most accounts say the Stone-Nest tribe turned to Daedric powers when the Corelanyans invaded Solstice. They used dark rituals to change hatchlings in their eggs.
Other tales suggest vahath behemoth are even older, but no one knows for sure." - Why would Gaulm want to destroy Tuniria?
- "Tuniria was among the first Corelanyan settlements built on Solstice. If the behemoths were made with the intent of driving off invaders, perhaps it's just following its nature.
But why speculate? The Stone-Nest and the Regency want it gone."
After you have completed the task:
- I defeated Gaulm the vahath behemoth and took care of the voriplasms in the ruins.
- "Good work! I know our adepts from the College of Tomes will be glad not to lose their heads to the vahath behemoth when they return to training in Tuniria. And the ruins remain standing for another day.
Here you go, your reward."
Tidewash Stranded[edit]
- What job do you have today?
- "The College of Sea and Sword sent a salvage crew to Tidewash Strand to reclaim treasures and supplies washed up from all the recent shipwrecks.
It's normally a routine task for them. The problem we're facing today, however, is Tidespite." - Tidespite?
- "A massive coral crab that stalks Tidewash Strand. Recently molted, and now bigger than ever.
The crew is trapped on the shoals by its territorial brood. If you and your group can take down Tidespite and rescue them, you'll be well rewarded." - Very well. I'll defeat Tidespite and rescue the wrecking crew.
After accepting the task, you can ask about Tidespite:
- Why hasn't Tidespite been a problem before now?
- "Tidespite has always been a threat, feasting on those that make it to shore. Dead or alive.
But more shipwrecks mean more food. And that's resulted in a dramatic increase in size for it and its brood that prowl the area." - What's caused the recent increase in shipwrecks?
- What was the salvage crew hoping to salvage from these wrecks?
- "Gold to pay mercenaries, supplies to replenish troops, plans and intelligence from our enemies. Anything that might aid in driving the Worm Cult from Solstice.
Now? I expect the crew will be glad just to escape with their lives."
- "Gold to pay mercenaries, supplies to replenish troops, plans and intelligence from our enemies. Anything that might aid in driving the Worm Cult from Solstice.
After you have slain Tidespite and rescued the salvage crew, you can return to Morlia:
- I defeated Tidespite and rescued the salvage crew.
- "Excellent work! That crew escaping Tidewash Strand with lives and limbs intact is more than most can ask for these days.
My thanks, adventurer. Enjoy your reward."
