Quest-Related Events[edit]

If you choose to start the quest through him:

"I don't know how you found us, but we need your help. The forest has turned against our village, and we've been forced to take refuge in this cave."
What is happening here?
"Something has caused the spriggans and senche to come out of the forest in droves and attack us. We've taken shelter in the cave, but we can't live there for long."
Why don't you just kill these creatures?
"That would only make matters worse. This is clearly a punishment visited on us for something we did wrong.
Treethane Rolon inside the cave is trying to set things right. You should talk to him."
I'll speak with him.

Speaking to him again:

"The treethane is just inside. He'll be glad to see you."

If you've already started the quest with Alandis, he'll say instead:

"Did one of our scouts find you and send you this way? It doesn't matter, we're desperately in need of assistance.
If you are willing to help us, please step inside the cave behind me and speak with our treethane."

Speaking to him while collecting evidence:

"If you are looking for evidence, I'd suggest looking around in town. When the forest turned against us, there was no time for anyone to collect their belongings—or cover their tracks."

After collecting evidence, return to the cave and Mollorn will urge you to enter:

"Everyone is assembled back in the meeting chamber to hear your findings, advocate."

After the quest, he'll only say:

"We will never forget how you helped bring peace back to our village."
