Red Death

The Gray Host Vampire channels a spell for a quarter of a second, releasing a spray of blood magic in a cone in front of him, dealing moderate magic damage and knocking down targets hit.

Aspect of Terror

The Gray Host Vampire casts a spell that fears the target for a short time, temporarily preventing them from moving or performing any actions. This effect passes through block, but players can break free from it. This spell can be interrupted to set the Gray Host Vampire off balance.

Vampiric Feed

The Gray Host Vampire rears up to feed on your life's energy, immobilizing you and dealing minor magic damage with every tick. You can break free or have someone else interrupt the attack.

Quest-Related Events

As you approach a concealed chamber within Gloomreach, the vampire will appear in a plume of dark red smoke. He will shout at you as you approach:

Once he is dead you are free to enter the chamber.
