Bruik

Bruik is a Nord vampire who can be found within the Dusktown Mine. He has an arrangement with Overseer Urlvar; in exchange for miners to drain blood from, he protects the town from attacks from his fellow vampires.

Skills and Abilities

Quick Strike

A basic melee attack that does minor physical damage.

Veiled Strike

The enemy cloaks, becoming untargetable by most attacks, and prepares to slash the target. This attack does moderate physical damage and will stun the target briefly. This attack can be blocked to set the enemy off balance.

Teleport Strike

When standing further away from them, the enemy teleports and stabs the target. This attack does moderate physical damage and stuns the target briefly.

Roll Dodge

The enemy can roll dodge to avoid attacks.

Drain Essence

The enemy drains your life force, dealing high magic damage and restoring its health every 1 second for 3 seconds. You must break free from this ability.

Bat Ambush

The enemy teleports into a swarm of bats to the player. This attack does moderate magic damage and knocks down the player briefly.

Red Breath

The enemy sprays a red mist in a cone in front of itself dealing moderate magic damage and knocking down any targets hit by it.

Summon Bound Hemoptera

The enemy summons a Bound Hemoptera, which channels a buff on their summoner that causes them to do twice the damage and take less damage. If the Hemoptera is interrupted, it becomes an Unbound Hemoptera. They will be rebound to their summoner after a few seconds.

Sacrifice Hemoptera

The enemy can destroy its Hemoptera to heal itself.

Quest-Related Events

You first see Bruik when he is having a conversation with Overseer Urlvar.

Claudina Ildene: "It's Urlvar! Stay low!"

Overseer Urlvar: "Bruik! Killing Captain Ageran was not part of our deal!"

Bruik: "I am a vampire, Urlvar. I have needs. I made that clear when you hired me."

Overseer Urlvar: "I hired you to protect my people! This was not what we agreed … you've taken it too far!"

Bruik: "Who are you to reprimand me? You haven't seen too far! Just wait!"

Claudina Ildene: "It's all beginning to make sense."

After using the whistle on him:

Claudina Ildene: "Use the whistle!"

Bruik: "Argh! My head!"

Claudina Ildene: "There he goes! Follow him!"

When you finally catch up with him:

Bruik: "You'll die like all the rest!"

You must fight and kill him at this time.
