Contradiction with Slaughterfish subarticle[edit]
This page says the soul is leveled L-1 and the other one says L+0. Which is it? — Unsigned comment by 69.166.47.137 (talk) on 11 December 2009
Console[edit]
- (moved from the article)
- If you use the console command "placeatme" the slaughterfish will not be as big as the actual one.
- It means that if you use the "Placeatme" command on the PC to spawn a Giant Slaughterfish in front of you, it won't be as big as the one encountered in the quest. This happens commonly for large creatures on the Oblivion engine, possibly so that they don't glitch if you spawn them indoors. For example in Fallout 3 (Which uses the Oblivion engine), if you spawn a super mutant behemoth-the largest killable NPC in the game- it will be quite small compared to its normal size. 79.66.36.223 10:07, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
Oars[edit]
(PS3 user)Besides the corpse of the giant slaughterfish, any other guaranteed locations to find an unowned oar? Forts, ruins, etc?71.224.13.163 23:06, 7 March 2011 (UTC)Marcus
- There's one at the end of Redguard Valley Cave, which you visit during the Sins of the Father quest. Legoless 23:42, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

- I've found at least two more. Can't remember where - although they were definitely loose, in an open topped barrel (as opposed to any kind of container), and they may have been in the same place. Possibly on a pirate ship in Anvil? Or, there's some unowned houses in various places; one quest-related in the wilderness that I can think of, and some in various towns/settlements. If they're run down, it's possible I found the oar(s) was one of those. Not much specific help tho, sorry -_-;

- Maybe I'll load up my other game and do a crash run, see if I can find it again (I've got the PS3 GOTY ver - I imagine anyone with a PC can just do some kind of console search tho...?) 71.112.202.109 11:15, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

- Indeed. There are 29 present in the game with Shivering Isles installed, and it's used in a 'test' random clutter list which I'm not sure is actually used in-game. However, the OP was looking for unowned oars specifically (I assume because they are worthless and can't be fenced). Skimming over the locations, they all seem to be in people's houses other than the one in the cave I mentioned above. Houses are usually owned by an NPC or faction, so it's unlikely any of those are unowned. Legoless 11:22, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

- Yes, I got mine from some houses, but they're not stolen (no red hands). I'm in every faction though, so it could be from that. I noticed that they're zero weight, which is unusual, so I made sure to pick them up when I saw them. I wonder, are Pitchforks and Scythes (not Hand Scythes) also on that test list? I never see them in containers either. Anyway, cheers for the reply. 71.112.202.109 23:28, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
