Walkthrough[edit]
This quest starts either when you find the village of Sula, or when you stumble across an empty, seemingly abandoned house. In the former case, the quest marker will point to the house; in the latter, you can just check inside. The place is empty inside, but you'll find a turn handle on the wall. Activate it, and the floor will lower to reveal the entrance to a tomb. Go there and make your way through it to the lower part; a stone door there leads to another chamber, where you'll find a number of people - the lost villagers. They claim to have been kidnapped by zombies and want you to lead them out.
Once you do so, however, you find out that they're not really people - they're creatures masquerading inhabiting the villagers' bodies. Now that they've emerged into the sunlight, they're ready to shed their "skins" and feed... on you! Kill them all, and the quest will end.

I found a village in the desert, but the people are nowhere to be seen. Where did they go? Perhaps already buried somewhere? |

I found a house, located far away from any civilization. Maybe I should see what is hidden in it. |

I have found the village's inhabitants. Their spokeswoman, Landa, told me that they were kidnapped by undead, and asked me to lead them out. She gave me a key they found in an urn, but they didn't dare try it on the locked door. |

With the villagers in tow, I reached the exit. |

As Landa spoke to me and I expected a little acceptance speech, I was bitterly disappointed. It seems the undead availed themselves of the bodies to get me to lead them to the light. I fell for it like an idiot, and now they want to eat me after a long sleep as the first meal under the sun. But I will vigorously spit in the soup! |

I killed the leader of the undead that attracted and used the inhabitants of a small village to escape from their tomb. |
- Notes
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in random order.
- If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
- It is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering
setstage ODDDesertDorfQuest stage
, where stage
is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages. See SetStage for more information.
