Lore talk:Order of the Black Worm

Moved from Page[edit]
- The symbol of the cult is a black pentagram, which is branded on each of its followers. (source: Events of Arena)
I've moved this from the article, since as far as I'm aware the Necromancer faction was introduced with Daggerfall. I haven't played much of Arena and the wiki is rather lacking in information, so it might be worth re-adding this note if humanoid necromancer enemies do indeed exist in that game. However, the modern Worm Cult symbol is a skull icon, so the pentagram thing has been long retconned if it ever existed. —Legoless (talk) 21:30, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
- You will be attacked by a member of a hostile faction if you rest during certain palace quests. The faction is randomly selected and it can be The Necromancers. There is a short description when it happens and that's where it comes from. 216.15.113.220 19:57, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

- Interesting. Do you happen to have a quote or screenshot handy? —Legoless (talk) 19:59, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- Edit: Found the text. "The %opp who approaches, you notice, has been branded with a small black pentagram, the symbol of the Necromancers." "The Necromancers always brand their minions with a black pentagram as symbol of their souls' damnation. The %opp before you has such a brand." "All members and servants of the Necromancers are branded with a black pentagram. The %opp barring your path displays one with pride." "The black pentagram you see branded on the %opp approaching alerts you. Doubtless a servant of the Necromancers, sent to stop your journey cold." "You know what the black pentagram branded on the %opp means. The rumors were right - the Necromancers want you stopped." Seems the wiki is missing a lot; I'll go ahead add it back. —Legoless (talk) 20:13, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
