Lore:Office of Imperial Commerce
The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
The Office of Imperial Commerce is an Imperial institution based in the Market District of the Imperial City. The proprietor of the office takes all merchant complaints in the city, often amassing crowds of people.[1] The uncleanliness of the surrounding district leads some people to send servants in their stead.[1] When a complaint is made, forms are filed and sent to higher-ups, who usually ignore them.[2] The office also deals in property and is authorised to sell houses in the city.[2][3]
Notes[edit]
- The Market District of the Imperial City was destroyed during Varen's Rebellion in 2E 577. The entire district was subsequently converted into a graveyard for the fallen and became known as the Memorial District.[4][5] It is unknown where the Office of Imperial Commerce was based during this period, or whether the office existed at all prior to the Third Era.
