Crone's Wicker Coronal

The Kairian Coven was a coven of Reachfolk witches known to have been active before or during the Interregnum of the Second Era.[1]

History[edit]

At an unspecified time before 2E 582 the Kairian Coven fractured, with many of its members joining a rival group of Reachfolk witches known as the Icereach Coven.[1]

Culture[edit]

Within the coven, there existed a ceremonial role known as the seedswoman. Her duty was to craft a wickerwood coronal each year, formally known as Crone's Wicker Coronal, which was used to crown the coven's leader. After wearing the coronal for exactly a year and a day, the leader would then pass it on to a dark champion, offering it as a mark of recognition to a like-minded, twisted soul. Following the schism, this practice began to fade. It is unclear whether the Kairian Coven was formally disbanded or merely abandoned certain customs as their numbers dwindled.[1]
