The Swamphole

The Swamphole is a tavern located between the Mages Guild and the chapel in Bravil.

The bartenders, Ulasch and Melyssa, have and 40 and 30 Mercantile, respectively, and 50 gold; both buy and sell potions.

The entrance is a bit misleading - it is dark and largely unused; cobwebbed barrels sit stacked in the corners, a thick layer of dust lays over everything. A set of stairs leads up to the upper bar, which occupies the whole floor. A couple small tables and a bench sit against the walls here, leaving the main floor open; a small bar takes up space at the far end, behind which Melyssa works from 8pm to 2am.

Another door leads down to the basement, which is the largest part of the tavern. The bottom bar is split into two parts, divided by a pair of steps down and a half-wall. The upper part, near the stairs, has a large bar where Ulasch works; the lower is a dining/drinking area with several tables. The place has a nautical motif - the rear end of a ship pokes out of the rear wall, a small dinghy hangs on one wall, and a mermaid statue sits in the corner.
