Sarmabael

Sarmabael is a cavern of outlaws searching for gold.

Far from an easy cavern to find, Sarmabael can be accessed by going north from Ishanuran Camp. You should soon see a rope bridge crossing a pond - go westwards across it, and follow the path on its winding course. It will lead directly to the cave entrance.

Inside you will find bandits and their enslaved Khajiit. Two of them are archers and will fire upon you from elevated positions as you make your way through the rocky labyrinth of the central chamber. The key to free the slaves is on the table on the north side of the central chamber.

In the flooded southwestern portion of the cave, you will find exposed ore veins containing plentiful Raw Gold. A note titled A Bandit's Alchemical Work next to the slave key details the efforts of the gang to extract the gold from beneath the water's surface - including the testing of their experimental water breathing potions on the slaves. The note additionally raises your Alchemy Skill on being read.
