Conflicting journal entry checks cause prevention of advancement[edit]
I see that Morrowind checks that the journal entry HR_CalderaDisrupt >= 10, while the one where Llethri recognizes the freeing of Dahleena checks that the same quest >= 50. Since being 50 is over 10 in addition to being equal to or greater than 50, I still get the response telling me to find a way to disrupt the mining after I have freed Dahleena, preventing the natural progression of the quest. Surely someone has noticed this conflict or experienced this bug before?—Moonraker0 21:55, 25 April 2009 (EDT)
- I guess it was because the original one had a higher priority than the correct one, changed by some mod. If anyone knows how to find the mod changing the record... well, I made a fix ESP for now.—Moonraker0 23:04, 25 April 2009 (EDT)
Minor conflict in quest lines[edit]
I should have learned by now, nobody in town had a conversation topic about closing the mine. I went back and talked to Garisa about every topic again. I did not get an update in the journal about the mine, but surprise, he did say he would support me for Hortator after being persuaded by testimony from Athyn. Now people in Caldera have the conversation topic for mine bosses and freeing Dahleena. But I have Garisa's support, so I do not need to shut the mine...? GRPenguin 06:40, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
- Hortator is a something for the main quest, you will still need to shut down the mines to gain further ranks and ect in the house. Dunno what caused that though. (Eddie The Head 07:49, 13 February 2012 (UTC))
- I am House Father, so I did need to close the mines to eventually become Archmaster. GRPenguin 02:30, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Messed it up[edit]
I'm playing through Morrowind for the first time in years, and I freed Dahleena way early on. Now I'm trying to complete this quest and getting nowhere. Per this article, I even went back to the mine to try and kill her just to progress the quest... except she's been freed, so she no longer appears. I tried using TES Construction Set to get myself a plugin fix, but not having used it before I had troubles: the plugin contained a ton of lines that i didn't want (stuff to do with Werewolves and whatever, which I know for a fact I didn't change; clicking Ignore and then re-saving doesn't help, as saving just adds the lines back in again) and then not appearing in the Data Files folder (or, as far as I can tell by searching) anywhere else on my computer except in the Construction Set.
So... if I was to set the Journal entry to 100, would this cause me problems? I don't need Ebony Boots as I already have a pair and I'm not short of money. Is there a way to use the console to kill Dahleena? Do I have to kill Helvi and Vibato to progress? Please help! -- Supermorff (talk) 11:50, 10 October 2012 (GMT)
- Never mind. This forum has the answer. -- Supermorff (talk) 10:28, 12 October 2012 (GMT)
Quest stage 30 + 35[edit]
It seems you never get these journal entries. - 79.238.5.215 13:10, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
