Quails are a type of bird. Some toys, like stuffed giant centipedes with googly eyes, were adorned with painted patterns resembling quail eggs, giving the illusion that the eyes followed those who looked at them.[1] Taverns were also named after these birds, such as the Roosting Quail.[2]

Quasigriff[edit]
Quasigriffs are large, feathered, wingless quadrupeds that are related to Summerset gryphons. They were created through a combination of wizardry and selective breeding. According to their creator, Irastimil Direnni, their wingless frame kept their upkeep costs low. Although they were created artificially, various breeds of Quasigriffs can be found in the Systres, Balfiera, Hammerfell, and even in the Deadlands.
